What a great place! Filled with love and good food. A Christian family owned business. Great food. Delicious house made cake slices. Vanilla rum cake was incredible, but need to come back for the carrot and velvet cake. Delicious and nutritious fresh juices-ginger mango and soursop. This place is good for the belly and even better, food for the soul. Delfena has great testimonies to share. About God’s goodness and faithfulness!

When my family and I arrived at Big Yard we were instantly welcomed and made to feel at home. The service was exceptional and the food was spectacular. It was made with so much love and effort. The Soursop tea was exquisite. What an amazing staff. Highly recommend and I will most definitely be coming back.

Stumbled upon this place a couple Saturdays ago. The service was unbelievable, the ladies were helpful and had us laughing and chatting while waiting for our food.
The wings have a nice crisp on them and were fresh. I devoured them at the counter!
Curry goat was falling off the bone, flavor was nice BUT it was salty.
Oxtail was cooked to perfection & white rice wasn’t too shelly and tasted just right.
Oxtail Red Pea Soup was OK but tasted like vegetable soup and no oxtail was found in there!
All in all, it was a nice visit to a family owned Jamaican restaurant and I’d order from here again.

Hands down the best Jamaican food I’ve ever had in Miami! Top tier customer service! Big shout out to Ms. Dalphina, from her greeting us in the restaurant to her sweet spirit I cannot express how much it was a pleasure to be served at her hand. To the cooks big up yourselves! The food was 10/10! The oxtails was BOMB!! My daughter had brown stew chicken, and my mom had curry goat.. and the bones were all left in the plate as evidence!!
Whenever I come back here, I will definitely visit again! So if you ever have a taste for Jamaican real authentic food, don’t hesitate to go there! One of the best things I appreciated and loved the most was that they love God and is spreading his love thru their music and their food!! Every restaurant needs a “Ms. Dalphina”! We appreciate her so much!

Excellent service. Excellent food. This family owned establishment is on its way up! Keep your authenticity and recipes the SAME, DON’T change like other restaurants do with time. Good location, clean interior and facilities. I drove back home 2hrs to Fort Myers and my dinners were still fresh, hot and delicious. Tried many Jamaican restaurants over the Caribbean and here. Yours is in the top 5 for sure. Keep it coming. God Bless your business!

I’ve been living in this neighborhood for 3 years and have drove past this restaurant many many times. The previous owners unfortunately did not have the best reviews, hence my hesitation to swing by. I took a gander and checked out Google again only to see the name had changed slightly and now the reviews were through the roof!!! I finally stopped by for lunch and boy what is GOOD!!! I opted for the Ox Tail Teaser for $10 and I regret not getting the full order. Delicious flavor, with a good amount of portion served. I added a small order of chicken wings to compliment my appetite and I was one happy camper! I’m heading over again today and getting lunch for the entire family! We have plans this evening and no one wants to cook, so Big Yard will take good care of us! The friendly and warm service is A1! It’s evident they are about their clients and business. Can’t wait for lunch time!!! YUM.

**New Management** – the former restaurant (Mi Yard is closed, new name/ownership Big Yard). First visit and truly a welcoming family owned business. I came on a weekday for a late lunch early dinner. I ordered the Oxtail teaser and it was the perfect size and portion for one. (Note : the Oxtail Teaser is perfectly priced at $10 and available all day). Oxtail teaser includes rice (white or rice/peas, two oxtails, cabbage and plantain). I also ordered the vanilla rum cake cup. My meal came up to less than $20. Even with these small portions, I had leftovers to take home. Everything was seasoned well, authentic and very tasty. Pleasant customer service which is not always common in this area. The space is also available for hosting small – midsize groups and an event planner is on staff to assist with organizing. Dessert selections are made in house and catering options are available (see biz card attached). I will return and bring friends and family. Keep up the great work and much success in your new business endeavors.
