Nothing makes a meal taste better than when it’s cooked from a place of passion and success. My wife and I refined our recipes during the start of a major life shift for us. We had both enjoyed preparing meals for years before we even met, but once we were married, you couldn’t keep us out of the kitchen. We finally decided to take the opportunities we were given and open Johnson’s Kitchen® where we fill more than just your stomach, but your heart too.

This place was absolutely incredible. I couldn’t believe how comforting the food was. The portions were insane. I grew up with good, comfort food that just feeds your soul. This place was exactly that. Will definitely be back very soon and will be recommending to literally everyone.

Food was fabulous but my order was incorrect as well as missing some items. As you can see from the receipt I ordered grilled chicken but got fried, I also asked for tarter and cocktail sauce and got neither so I had to eat my fish and chicken dry but I’ll give them another crack at it.

We ordered the chicken bacon ranch fries, the hubster had the catfish poboy and I had the surf n turf w/ coleslaw as the side. The size of the appetizer looked like it belonged on a kids menu and my coleslaw had no flavor; it was basically cabbage and too much mayo. I did enjoy the sour dough bun and the sweet tea. The hubster’s poboy came dressed when he asked for it plain but we had waited a while & it wasn’t worth sending back to wait longer. The food is mediocre at best.
The worst was our server. There were two young ladies working and the only one who came to check on us was not our server. Our supposed server helped run the Doordash orders and then appeared to be on her phone. She did not bring us silverware, had to be told by the other one, and did not ask if we wanted refills on the drinks. She only spoke to us while taking our orders, brought food and then we had to ask her for the check.
They use Square to pay and the tip amounts are inflated. I didn’t notice until we left that we had actually given her more than 20% tip. Hopefully the owner sees this and gives the other young lady at least half of that because she actually did her job.
We won’t be back.

Were from out of town and had been driving all day. Finally made our stop in Hammond and stumbled across this amazing place. Food was AMAZING. Myself, my husband and my son all got catfish, shrimp, and Cajun fries. Perfection! Our server was very nice, too! Will definitely be back again when in the area!

I came in with a friend on an early Friday evening, and promptly seated. It seems to be all street parking and a seat yourself kind of place. I got the crawfish bread with shrimp and it was good, fresh and hot. While it was good, it seems like they toasted the bread then put all of the toppings on, like it was two separate items. The shrimp were good. We were offered to go cups of our beverages, which was a nice touch. Everything inside was neat, clean and home looking.

Seriously one of the best places I’ve eaten in a long time! They have the phrase “faith and flavor” lit up inside the restaurant, and they deliver on both ends. There’s praise and worship music inside, and they definitely deliver on flavor. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. We got the crawfish rolls as an appetizer, my husband had the chicken and waffles, and I had seafood quesadillas with sweet potato fries. Everything just tasted perfect with the right amount of flavor. Our server was even awesome. Everything came out in decent time. Definitely worth a visit if you’re near or around the Hammond area.

Nice, quaint establishment. Food was hot, fresh, and tasty. Lariah was super friendly and checked on our table regularly. Ordered the trio appetizer and everything was a hit. My girls had chicken and waffles that they really enjoyed. Out of town family enjoyed wings, red beans & rice, and the crawfish bread. Definitely will keep this place in my family’s rotation.
