Fantastic food and excellent service! We ordered three pizzas for takeout and we loved each and every one. The friendly folks inside left a lasting impression with their service even though I only stopped in for takeout. You can really tell they don’t skimp on the quality of their ingredients. They are a little pricier than your average pizza joint, but you get exactly what you pay for here and then some. We will be back!

I have been into FYR a few times when I am in town and every experience has been great. The atmosphere is very inviting and the customer service is friendly and upbeat. The food is amazing and fresh. The flatbread pizza and ribs are very tasty. The bacon wrapped dates with the bourbon peach bbq drizzle are an AMAZING appetizer. Can’t wait to go back when I am in town!

I went here with my dad for lunch when I was back in town. Everything tasted great. We had the flat bread and then both of us got the brisket sliders.
They have a great soda and beer selection as well. Service could have been a bit faster but it wasn’t due to lack of effort. There was one guy working the floor and running around doing his best to keep up. I’m sure that will improve as they get more help and some of the kinks ironed out. Give it a try and be patient! This is a great addition to a small town.

Our experience exceeded expectations. The owner was welcoming, and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the brisket pizza, which had a great balance of flavors—the crust was perfectly cooked, and the tender brisket paired wonderfully with the bourbon peach BBQ drizzle. The drink menu offered a selection of wines, bottled beers, and craft sodas. Additionally, the owner’s pottery art throughout the space added a unique touch. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning. It was the bee’s knees

I feel anyone is entitled to a bad day so I feel bad reviews are unnecessary but good reviews should be shouted from the rooftops.
All that being said, this place blew me away.
My family and I are from Nashville and have been spoiled with great BBQ all over the south. This place can hold their own with any one of those places down south. Coupled with an incredible vibe and friendly staff, you CANNOT beat this place.
BBQ is a craft that takes time and dedication and cannot be rushed or faked. My entire family raved about the quality and taste of the food. This is a RARE event. We’re kind of bbq snobs. I wish I would have taken pictures of the food to post. It looked (and tasted) perfect.
Being a small-town BBQ spot, be sure to get in early, as they will likely run out of popular items. Brisket was out tonight when we arrived, but such is life when it’s actually made fresh and in small batches. Can’t complain there. The ribs were so good with incredible flavor. The pulled pork was moist and tender. And the pizza, yes the PIZZA was amazing. Who thought you’d find a spot that could do both and do it well!?
If you find yourself in Waterloo on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, check them out! You won’t regret it!

We had the “brisket say what” and the cheese on the pizza I could actually taste. We flew in from Georgia and it was a very well crafted pizza. Highly recommend trying it. None of the ingredients were over bearing.

One of my favorite places to visit! The pizza is fantastic and the BBQ is the best I’ve had since I moved to Wisconsin from Texas 8 years ago. I go with my wife and son as often as we can! Try the pork belly bites are our favorite, don’t forget to throw in some smoked apple sauce on the side!
