Sugar N Spice is a great place to grab a delicious breakfast.
Having been around since 1941, they’ve clearly figured out what works. Modern build but a truly classic diner vibe, with tiled walks and colorful booths. Their menu is pretty extensive and offers options for most diets and tastes. The greeter was quick to seat us and let us move tables away from the door. Our server was very friendly and knew the menu very well! Prices were very fair for the portion.
The spicy chicken burrito was huge and packed full of ingredients and flavor. It could easily be shared and still be filling. The Meat Lover platter is EXACTLY what the title claims. I ordered my eggs over medium and that is how they were prepared. I’d never had Guetta prior to stopping in here and it was surprisingly good! The plate also comes with a sausage patty, fried smoked sausage, bacon, two slices of toast and a decent serving of home fries. The coffee is dark, strong and excellent.
I will definitely stop back the next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend.

Cute decor. The service was great. We came at 10 on a Sunday and there was no wait but it did get busier later. Simple menu which I love. The coffee was good. Had the Mexican omelet with chorizo, it was good.

Food options are excellent. The pricing is very fair. The price for the amount of food is above average. Coffee is on point. Sit at the bar for most places like this to avoid any wait. Highly recommend this place!

This was my 1st time at this location. My server was very friendly & attentive. The food (coffee, pancakes, bacon & eggs. Everything was good. I am a pancake & syrup person. I test how good pancakes really by trying them w/o syrup 1st. Pretty good w/o syrup.. definitely doable. But eventually the sweet tooth took over & I caved & wanted syrup. I’d revisit. Reading Rd/ Norwood location has good food too! But get there early.. Blue Ash location closes @ 2 during the winter months!

Stopped in for breakfast for my family while visiting Cincinnati. Located across from the community center and short walk from a small parking lot. Funky colorful design inside that mixes with a retro diner vibe. Looked cool. Unusual amount of flies which was a bit distracting, our booth light had six which was distracting.

Food is Cincinnati Diner-Core eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, hash browns, pancakes, breakfast burritos, burgers, french fries, and of course goetta. For those not from tge area, like me, this is breakfast sausage mixed with oats creating a crunchy sausage patty. It’s like a crispy version of scrapple. It’s not bad but I find it a bit underwhelming as it tastes like a muted but very crispy breakfast sausage.

Party ordered a mimosa flight, breakfast sausage sandwich with home fries, biscuits with sausage gravy, cold brew coffee, and kid’s pancakes with chocolate chips.

The mimosas were strong with my wife tipsy after 2 of them, but she liked the variety of flavors, and she also liked the breakfast sandwich but said it was lacking in flavor. Kid loved the pancakes and ate the whole plate. They are interestingly thinner style and had a good amount of chocolate chips and syrup. The home fries were outstanding perfect seasoning.

The cold brew coffee was terrible. So bitter and needlessly dark I couldn’t drink it. Avoid at all costs. The biscuits and gravy were a complete shame. The gravy was impressively devoid of flavor, tasted floury/gritty and had zero flavor. Plus almost no sausage was in the gravy. The small bits in the gravy were equally flavorless. The biscuits were crisp on top but a bit mushy inside. They were okay but for the price the portion was way too small. It seemed like outside of the home fries the food was begging to be properly seasoned. I coated the biscuits in salt, pepper, and hot sauce just to get them down.

We were also caught off guard the mimosa flight was $23.99, just FYI. Service was excellent though waitress was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. A few things were forgotten but were fixed on request.

Kind of an overall bad experience. Water tasted so weird and left a long lasting soap aftertaste that we couldn’t drink it. We waited a weirdly long amount of time to order and the girl who seated us was so quiet we couldn’t understand what she was saying. The food was just not well done. The potatoes just tasted like the meat that was likely cooked on the same grill, the sausage was overcooked, my eggs were not warm when they came out, the scrambled eggs were cooked like an omelet, not bad just weird. With how loud and expensive (comparatively) it was, we’ll not be returning. Fun decor though!

We were looking for a place for decent place for a late breakfast/early lunch and were pleasantly surprised by this place. The food was delicious, but what exceeded the taste of the food was the service. They were quite busy, but our server communicated well and made sure we were served in a timely manner.

Fantastic experience. Our server, Daphne, went above and beyond. The staff and management took a great deal of care with an allergy order. Everything was so delicious! We can’t wait to come back. I wish every establishment treated parties like ours with the care that was given and making us feel welcome and not like a burden. Great work creating a space people look forward to coming back to!

This was our first visit to Sugar n’ spice and definitely not our last. The Omelette was fluffy and delicious I washed it down with their coffee which was outstanding. We were seated quick even for noon on a Saturday the waitress we had was very friendly and helpful. The food came quick and hot. Love the decor if you haven’t been there yet this place is a must. My next meal will be those pancakes they looked yummy.

We have been to the other 2 locations and were excited to try out this new spot in Summit Park! We came for breakfast on a Saturday around 11 am, and the wait was 45 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we waited quite some time before our server came over to us. We went ahead and placed our order for our food along with our drinks. She then went to the 3 tables seated after us and took all of their orders as well. We were seated for over 20 minutes before we even got a drink.
I ordered the breakfast sandwich with sausage and American cheese on an English muffin with a side of pancakes. My husband had the Mexican omelet. Our food was really good, but it too took a long time. Once we finished, we sat and waited for her to bring our check. From arrival time to departure (including the 45-minute wait), we spent about 2.5 hours on breakfast.
I will say that the table next to us had a different server and a much better experience. They were seated 10 minutes after us and had drinks before our server had even been to our table. They were preparing to leave as we were just receiving our food. I think your experience here will vary greatly based on your server.
