My dad and I came in for lunch today. As soon as we opened the door, we were greeted by 2 gentlemen with a giant “HELLO!” I’ve never been here before, so I took a moment to look over the menu, when one gentleman came over with a boat of appetizers (that we didn’t order). He said “these are on the house, but wanted to get your thoughts on a new option we are thinking about having for the menu.” So, we started with a boat of fried cauliflower served with ranch and a cheese sauce. Now, I’ve never had fried cauliflower before, so I have no basis for comparison, but it had a light, crispy breading, fried to a perfect golden brown. The cauliflower itself was cooked perfectly. Not mushy, not hard, but a perfect, easy to chew morsel.

I decided on a Philly cheese steak with no onions or peppers. Our server said “oh, so you just want a French dip?” So yes, I got a French dip, lol! My dad had a bacon double cheeseburger, we both had fries.

My sammich was served on a perfectly toasted hoagie roll, with hot beef and melty cheese (seriously, there was a foot long cheese pull!) The au jus was piping hot and not too salty. The fries were PERFECTLY cooked, crispy on the outside, pillowey on the inside, and seasoned to perfection!

Dad’s burger (not pictured) was HUGE and oozing with cheese. NEVER in my 40 years on this planet have I seen that man take a to-go box home for leftovers (has he ordered a second meal to go, sure, but NEVER leftovers!) but there is a first time for everything!

I’ve never heard of this place, but now it’s on my radar, and will DEFINITELY be back!

Not really what we expected when we got there but the interior doesn’t make the food taste good. Place isn’t big, more of a bar feel then anything but it was clean and nice. Our waitress was super nice and gave us time to place our order and checked on us throughout our meal. The onion rings tasted like standard frozen rings imo wasnt worth the $7.99 but they were still good. Both burgers were amazing and juicy! Will definitely go back to try their other items.

We were visiting from Texas, and have tasted lots of great burgers. Had the mustang burger and the black and blue burger with fries. I am gluten intolerant and they accommodated my allergy by no season on the burger or fries( fried in same oil as other items but has little effect on me). Even without the seasonings this is hands down one of the BEST burgers I’ve ever had!!! It was super delicious and we are so glad we stopped in for lunch! Thanks to the great waitress and the caring chef!

Excellent food!! The brisket was melt in your mouth. The peach cobbler was to die for. Everything was wonderful nice little home cooked meal. The owners extremely friendly and friendly staff. Looking forward to coming back and trying the homemade biscuits and gray.

Was going to play some arcade games next door, but I got there just to realize the place was closed. So me and my friends decided to have a nice dinner at Mustang Grill. The service was great and my Wild Mustang Burger was tasty. Will return.

First time here and we got spoiled with delicious food. Fried cauliflower, French dip, Philly Cheesesteak, and for dessert Apple Crisp. Bread is so soft. The meat has a lot of flavor and you get more meat than other restaurants.

Excellent food made fresh! Friendly atmosphere. Wish we lived closer, so we could eat there more often! We had the chicken/bacon sandwich with a parmesan sauce. Yummy!

It’s just about the friendliest place we’ve been to yet. The food was great, I had the mushroom burger and fries, and they were the best fries I’ve had in a LONG time.. we started with fried pickles and fried cheese curds cause we couldn’t decide , they were both great! My husband had the Bleu burger and really enjoyed it. Fresh ingredients are not brought in by Sysco ( a rare treat).
We will definitely come back next time we are in Grimes.. quite a little gem this place is..

We came in town for a volleyball tournament and were looking for a place that could host 30-40 people after 8pm on a Saturday night. Even though the regular hours said that they closed at 8pm, the waitress and cook said that they would stay open just for our party. They went above and beyond to take care of our party as quickly and as nicely as possible. The food was excellent and the drinks were poured as soon as the orders were taken. Thank you to the owner for allowing us to use your building on short notice. You helped us out in a time of need. And a great big “Thank you!” to the waitress and the cook that stayed after hours on a weekend night to serve a big group of people from out of town!

Had a great lunch here all by myself! The owners are super nice and engaging in conversation. The tenderloin was excellent. I ate it too fast to take a picture. Will definitely be back!
