We went with a larger group, 8 people, and our waitress did an amazing job! She was on top of our needs and ran up and down to the bar to help with wine selections. The food was all amazing, it was cooked perfectly and tasted fabulous.

My Husband and I got married last weekend and unfortunately for my current work schedule, we cannot take a honeymoon for about a year. So, instead we chose to make a reservation at Chillingham’s when we looked for local steakhouses in the area. First off, when we were brought to our table there was a hand decorated card to congratulate us and a champagne toast immediately brought over. We got the hanging bacon and Mac and cheese to share, I got the special peppercorn encrusted ribeye and my husband got another steak (I forget which one). Everything was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Just for the food alone, we cannot wait to go back. At the end, our waitress brought us a slice of chocolate cake to continue our celebration. The hospitality was welcoming and authentic. Thank you so much for making our night memorable.

Quaint steakhouse in a very comfortable atmosphere. Service was excellent by Taylor. Family of 4 each had a steak dinner cooked to order perfectly. Bacon appetizer was delicious. Each meal came with a salad and side but we ordered creamed spinach and Mac n cheese anyway. The kids said it was the best they’ve ever had. Will definitely come again.

For Westerly, Chillingham’s is a great addition to the restaurant scene with a lovely location by the river. An outdoor meal on the terrace would be exceptional on a day with perfect weather, but we sat inside because of the rain and wind. The indoor area is basic with glaring lights and tavern-like wooden tables resembling a farm house – but not as warm and cozy as a farm house. The wagyu steak, scallops, and burgers were on point! Food and service are top notch, but definitely more of a run of the mill scene and vibe rather than a special place to go for a culinary experience.

A true hidden gem of Westerly and the surrounding area. Went for the first time after seeing it from the windows of the Cafe in the old Martin building. Emily at the door was a joy. We ended up being seated near her at the front of the restaurant and she was just great. We shared a good amount of laughs all night. The ambience and decor here is perfect. The lighting sets the mood and it is all build up for the star of the show. The food. We started with the thick cut bacon. The smokeyness, the flavor, still juicey with a slight char on the meat. Heaven hanging in front of your eyes. We next had a red wine and a bourbon which were both nice. A Cesar salad for each of us was a fresh prep for a delicious entree to follow. I got the house potatoes romanoff with the waygu frites. So tender and flavorful. 10/10 all day. My wife got a flat iron also with the romanoff potatoes. Just perfectly sized, flavored, presented. Couldn’t ask for anything else. Dessert was apple crisp and chocolate cake. Both good. Our waitress Blake was great the whole time. Friendly, mindful of our drinks, timing was great on checking in on any needs we may have, great personality.
Overall would easily recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.

AMAZING!!! In my opinion lived up to the hype. We had a girls night out celebrating two of our birthdays. We made reservations ahead of time for 7 o’clock. The hostess Callie was so sweet! Our table was ready when we arrived and there were two birthday cards sitting on the table. A very thoughtful touch to start our dinner. We had an excellent experience, thanks to our waitress Blake! She was excellent!!! She greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel immediately welcomed! She handled our orders quickly and efficiently! Our meals were so delicious. The steaks, burger and prime rib were cooked perfectly! Kudos to the chef!!! Blake made our Birthday evening truly memorable with two slices of the most YUMMY chocolate cake! We will definitely be back!

The choice of country radio with ads for music was weird. And really loud. The menu can be fine dining but the seating setup makes it casual. The only steakhouse in the area it seems. Worth a try for sure. We had the tomahawk for 2 with sides. It was good. Staff was attentive and lovely.

I went to chillinghams for the first time last night for my 25th birthday. As me and my boyfriend walked into the establishment the hostess looked at us like the place was too expensive for us to afford , maybe because of the age , either way I digress . We got seated and from there on my experience was phenomenal . Our waitress was such a peach and when I tell you it was the best meal I have ever ate in my entire 25 years of being alive I am NOT kidding . The 16oz ribeyes were melting in your mouth cooked to perfection . The house mash was nothing like I’ve ever had before , the scallops were just a tad over done but all in all an amazing night out . The hostess could use a reality check but the rest of you guys do amazing work ! Thank you for such an amazing meal on an amazing day for me! Will be back 100000000% !

I’ve given Chillingham’s five chances, and this last visit officially made it my last. My husband and I both ordered our steaks medium‑well, and they came out rare. We tried to eat what we could because we were hungry, but I had to stop halfway through. When someone checked on us, I was honest, and they did remove the steaks from the bill — which I appreciated — but it doesn’t change the fact that I left hungry and ended up ordering a pizza at home.
The service didn’t help the situation. Our waiter rushed us from the moment we sat down. We ordered drinks and told him we needed a moment, because when we go out, we’re willing to spend money for good food and a good experience. Instead, we felt pushed through the entire meal. If we wanted to be rushed, we could’ve gone to McDonald’s and ordered a Number 1. We love going to steakhouses and having a nice experience . This is not it .
After multiple disappointing visits, this was the final straw. I won’t be returning. The second star was for the comped entree

Nice place and staff but some of the steaks were averagely cooked and actually burned also the meat temperature suppose to be medium rare. We were suggested to try camel meat, defenetly not my choice but ok to try once. Bacon and raw beef appetizer were delicious.
