My family and I visited Royal Taste of Jamaica and was very pleased. The food was full of authentic flavor. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole visit even better. You can really feel the love and pride they put into their cooking. We enjoyed every bite and will definitely be back soon. Highly recommend!

I love this place my go to are the oxtails and I order them everytime. My only problem I have are the prices for the quantity of the food. Don’t get me wrong we’re going through rough times but at the same time $32 for 2-3 oxtails is kind of crazy.

This is my first time trying this place after thinking about it a few times. It looked like a family owned restaurant with a very cozy and warm ambiance. Their service is pretty amazing. Very friendly, and we’re very humble. They gave good suggestions about their dishes. We tried their oxtail plate, Jerk Chicken white plate, and their pasta with Jerk Chicken. The pasta was a Friday special deal. Everything tasted pretty amazing and authentic. We also ordered their fresh made pineapple juice, and i would go back there even if thats the only thing they sold, but with their amazing food, service, and the vibe ill surely be going back.

I had the oxtails, cabbage and rice with peas.
My pregnant wife had the chicken stew, green beans, white rice, and mac and cheese.
All of the food was amazing, seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection. There wasn’t any part of the food I didn’t like. Our only complaint is the mac and cheese wasn’t creamy, it was just melted cheese on noodles. It still tasted good, but with a little tweaking it could be so much better. If you aren’t familiar with Jamaican food and you get the chicken stew just be careful because there are small pieces of bone in the chicken. No complaints here, it was freaking delicious. I will definitely be going back and I HIGHLY recommend this place.

Everything we ordered was 10/10! We tried the oxtails, jerk chicken, cabbage, rice and peas, plantains, guava lemonade, curry chicken and spicy beef patties, and carrot cake. I would definitely order everything we tried again, and the service was friendly and quick. I’m looking forward to trying the curry goat next time!

This was my second time at royal taste. I got the jerk chicken and, as usual, it did not disappoint. The flavor was great and the ambience took me right back to Negril, Jamaica. The service was great too. Much respect!!!

I have never been so disappointed! This place is overpriced and definitely wasn’t worth it. I would have been happy with a kids meal from McDonald’s.

I never rarely give 5 stars. This guy showed professionalism from the first moment I called to place a pick up order. I didn’t know what i wanted off back but he was patient and explained it to me. It cost nothing to be nice to people!!!! The only Jamaican place I’ll eat at in Baton Rouge.
