I got the pulled pork grilled cheese and the potato. This food is so bland, and it needs more seasoning. The service is fine, the lady was super nice, but for the quality of food they take so long to make it. The atmosphere was nice, but lowkey they need seats in the building. They need better bqq sauce, portions are fine but does that really matter if the food taste bad. The price is crazy for this to be tasting the way it does.

I was craving BBQ and was referred to this establishment. Service was wonderful. I was greeted upon entering. However, when I got home and set up my food to devour, I was extremely disappointed. The ribs were not fully cooked (being that they were super thick, they should’ve been cooked longer.). The potato salad was semi watery, cornbread was dry, collard greens had a flavoring that I can’t describe in words (it was just ‘no’) and lastly, the Sweet potato pound cake…(no).
I wasted $30 on a meal that I did not eat. And it doesn’t help that they won’t be reopening until Tuesday because of New Years Eve. So I’ll take the lost of my $$$ yet I will not be returning.

I ordered the Chopped BBQ Brisket Sandwich w/ a side of Carolina Slaw or cornbread, I got both sides.. I, for the first time in my life, didn’t drown the Sandwich in a sauce of my choice, I wanted to taste the beef, and was a happy with that decision!! Just pure tasty high quality beef brisket (chopped/pulled) and totally loaded. 5 plus!! The slaw is made the exact way it should with a nice vinegar ingredient, like it’s supposed to be, especially if you’re going to preface it with Carolina. The cornbread was solid, a little different than most, very tasty, no dipping necessary. This a to go and catering restaurant, well worth it. I highly recommend.

They aren’t kidding when they say soul food. We came here to fulfill a BBQ craving and were pleasantly surprised. There is minimal seating inside and they are mainly take out. Not only was the food delicious but everyone working there was so helpful and delightful to interact with. I do regret not trying the brisket but it just means we will need to go back! We ended up getting the pulled pork and jerk chicken. Both of which you can tell are made with the special ingredient of love. Get that BBQ you’ve been craving at Thomas Smokey Pit Stop and prepare to be BBQ food happy!

This food truck is awesome! Great prices, great friendly service from everyone in the truck (3person staff) and one person in our party said that the brisket is “the best meat I’ve tasted in my life”
We had brisket potato and baked mac & cheese.
Everything was delicious and hit the spot!

I was a customer today. The front store staff was very friendly. I ordered the 3 meat plate (pulled pork, brisket and ribs) mac&cheese was my side along with a square of cornbread.
I truly wanted to like there offerings. But as a southern girl with a taste for bbq; I was disappointed.
Cornbread – Sweet but firm/dry
Mac & cheese – Good texture but was lacking flavor/salt. Cheese was looked like it had either been reheated or sat open.
Ribs – Dry
Brisket – Tender but lacked flavor. The side sauce helped make them taste better.
Pulled pork – Lacked flavor altogether. The portion was nice.
I drove 30mins specifically to try their food and support a B.O.B. Unfortunately, the trip wasn’t worth it this time for ME. They had customers who were there and had been waiting. I’m not sure if there was a kitchen/cook issue?!?
Nonetheless, the $36 cost was a loss.
I’d also suggest* they use paper tape to add extra security to the containers. They’re a cheap styrofoam that easily opens/bends in transit. There was meat juices soaking the paper bag when I reached home. Someone could easily mess up their clothing or car seats.

When they are on its 5 out of 5, but some days, especially Sundays, the food is cooked differently. Main problem is consistency, the quality of the ribs changes. Last Sunday the ribs were undercooked and were not trimmed. Depending on the day the seasoning, cook, and meat quality seem to change. The potatoes in the salad are some times undercooked and still raw.

Best customer service to began with. We were expecting to dine in but quickly realized it was take. They were really nice in helping us decide what to get! EVERYTHING WAS BLAZIN! Best BBQ I’ve had in Ct hands down! The menu was adorable I definitely should’ve taken a photos. Like it was Mom’s Mac N Cheese, Dad’s Potato Salad and so on. I didn’t get dessert but my family said it taste like mine so I know it was fire lol! We have been back several times and will continue! Highly recommend!
