Initially felt kinda lost walking in because it feels like its the conversion of multiple restaurants.
However, once we took our seats and really took in the atmosphere it is really beautiful and upscale. We went during the early hours with not many people and the chef came out and asked us questions on our menu choices. Very kind and it was cool that they were willing to do that.
I will say I prefer ordering with a person and here everything is completely over your phone with a QR code. I personally don’t love it but this is more upscale and modern so its niche for the people I guess.
I was a bit put off by the ordering system at first but the bartenders got our drinks to us quick. The food was absolutely delicious. And the desserts were phenomenal.
I definitely recommend coming for a date night and checking it out. We don’t drink but for those that do the menu looked really cute.
We got a chicken BBQ pizza and the pepperoni pizza. Both were equally delicious.
The chocolate cake was good but the mango cheesecake was so so yummy. Definitely my favorite.

Food was good! I enjoyed the bbq one with a bit of spice. Several different drink options and full bar. My friends and I had a great time

Great place. Very unique flavors. I got the Godfather flatbread which has a nice intro of sweet with the jam and a little kick with the habanero….but it’s just right to where it kicks but doesn’t overrule the other flavors. Gena is awesome and I met the other owners. The Tres Leches was phenomenal and perfectly plated.

RANSOM ROOM HUMBLE PIE MOMENT
Jacksonville NC is on a roll right now. Good restaurants are popping up left and right, but I’ve got to tip my hat to The Ransom Room downtown.
Let me be real. This one hurt a little. I make pizza. And I make good pizza. But my family and friends looked me straight in the face and said, no hesitation, this is the best pizza in town. Painful. Honest. Fair.
I even told the server that their pizza beat mine. Next thing I know, the chef walks over to our table just to say thank you. No ego. Just humble. Respect earned right there.
My wife ordered the goat pizza. I went classic with pepperoni. Jack and Coke for me, grapefruit cocktail for her. Every bite landed. Balanced. Clean. No shortcuts. You could tell the kitchen actually cares.
Nothing felt rushed. Nothing felt overdone. Just solid food done right.
We walked out full, happy, and already planning the next visit with the whole family. Jacksonville is leveling up, and The Ransom Room is absolutely part of that glow up.

We had such a great time. There was live music, great drinks, and the flat bread was to die for! You can tell that the owners and their team put a lot of thought & effort into this business. Definitely a must try and a great addition to the downtown area!

2nd time trying ransom room and couldn’t be more pleased! Staff is so kind and the pizza is amazing (The GOAT in specific). Will definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu items!

We ordered The G.O.A.T flatbread and it was incredible. The quality of the dough, arugula, and prosciutto was outstanding. We loved the char on the dough and the hot honey drizzle and goat cheese sent it out of this world. The only feedback I would give is to make a space for customers to easily grab a menu who aren’t sitting in the main RR space/bar and/or put a sign for folks sitting in the shared space to know there are QR codes on the tables to scan just to make the ordering process a little more smooth and approachable so folks aren’t awkwardly standing around confused. The waiters were super accommodating and helpful once we realized how we could order. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Second time visiting, but the first time on a Saturday night. Sat at the bar and ordered the Godfather flatbread. Absolutely delicious food, drinks, and desserts. Can’t recommend the Passion Fruit Paloma enough! It got incredibly busy, and we heard they were down a bartender and bar back. Everyone worked so hard but I have to give props to our bartender, Victoria. She did incredible handling the constant rush!
