Bobby’s Bar on Hampton is one of those neighborhood joints that hits just right. It’s got that classic local bar vibe, but the food is surprisingly legit — fresh, flavorful, and way better than you’d expect. The drinks are cold, the prices are fair, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Emily and Shannon are rockstars behind the bar — friendly, fast, and they treat you like you’ve been coming there for years.
Top Tom Tip: Don’t miss the annual charter bus to a Packers game — food, drinks, and good vibes all the way to Lambeau. Always a great day.

Visited at 5:30 on a Sunday night. It was not busy.
The single waitress working was snarky, maybe having a bad day. Service was incredibly slow for the few customers in the restaurant including 2 beers that took at least 10 minutes while the two bartenders stood doing almost nothing.
We should have left after that but decided to order food. Big mistake. The cod sandwiches that we ordered may have been the worst I have ever had. How do you make fried cod completely desiccated and tough as leather with the flakes turned brown?! Was it leftover then refried? The “sandwich” was two petrified pieces on a stale/chewy bun. Nothing else – not even lettuce. Wow. $14 for that?!
As we live nearby, we have tried to give this place business over the past 15 years through ownership change but it has sadly gone far downhill for food and service. Note: regulars seem to get much better service which we have observed on repeated visits since ownership change.

Ordered 4 chicken dinners for takeout. I did not know that the chicken dinner is only chicken and a piece of cornbread. Tried calling to see if they forgot fries, cole slaw etc. No one answered. Went back and was told that the chicken dinner is only chicken and cornbread. Fries, coleslaw, etc are a 3.00 additional charge each. When someone orders a chicken dinner, they should be asked if they want fries, coleslaw, a side. A chicken dinner is supposed to come with sides, and we were disappointed to only have chicken.
The chicken itself was disappointing. Three dinners had four pieces. One dinner had three. Cornbread was OK. Overall, we were underwhelmed.

Can’t remember the servers name unfortunately. I just wanted to say thank you. You see people doing this stuff online a lot, but I didn’t think I’d ever personally experience it. I just wanted to say thank you. I would’ve hugged you but I woulda cried and made a scene and didn’t know if you’d want that haha. Been going thru so much stuff since just before the holidays and life is hard. I just wanted to thank you and you truly made me feel important for once, that was the kindest thing anyone has done for me in a long long time. Happy new year to all of you and especially you all at Bobby’s. Food was great too.

Bobby’s Bar is hands-down one of the best spots in Brookfield, one of the only bars left with that neighborhood feel. Every dish I’ve tried has been flavorful and satisfying, but the broasted chicken deserves special mention—it’s hands-down the best in the area. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned.
What really sets Bobby’s apart is the personal touch. Bobby and his team have gone above and beyond for multiple private family parties we’ve hosted, especially in the newly remodeled upstairs patio. The space is beautiful, comfortable, and perfect for gatherings.
During local sporting events, Bobby’s Bar adds a fun twist by offering signed sports memorabilia giveaways, which makes game nights even more exciting. Has turned into my go to place to watch games.

Great environment and fantastic food – been here numerous times including Sat for the Crew-Cubs playoff game…Friday Night Fish Fry, Sat PM Prime, appetizers are great, never had a bad meal…staff is helpful, they get the food/drinks out quickly, LOTS of TVs, not a bad seat in the joint for watching sports! It’s also so great to see a restaurant where the owner is present and engages with customers, comes by the table to check to make sure everything is good etc…highly recommend Bobby’s Bar!

Stopped in for a late Friday lunch. Easy to find and open lot parking. Find your own spot to sit. Server showed promptly. Overall service was good. Place was clean. Food was above average. Would go back.

Found a worm in my codfish dinner, owner said he was “sorry to hear that”. The end.
***edit… If the owner had offered to pay for the bad meal or really anything other than offer a lackluster apology, I wouldn’t have written a review at all. I had been a regular there since I moved up the road a little over a year ago. I just hoped they would fix the problem. I don’t fault the restaurant for the worm in the food, I fault them for how it was handled (not at all). Another chance to make up for it but instead he chose to argue and lie.
Also, please note that the owner apparently “saw the worm with his own eyes”. Why was is it cooked and served if that was the case?

Drove by here a bunch of times. Final stopped in to check the place out. Great bartenders and food! They had a neat outside seating on the second floor. And lots of seating options in the bar. Happy hour specials. I had the chicken tenders appetizer, they were fresh and hand breaded . Yummy! One of my friends had the burger and said it was outstanding. Next time I am going to try the burger!
