I’m a big boba tea lover, and I’ve tried many boba specialty franchises as well as small local spots.
Some of the best boba I’ve had is from Juno Cafe inside Hmart in Frederick and Ellicott City, and I’m willing to drive the distance because of the quality.
So when I found out that Bulgogi House sells boba tea, I decided to give it a try—honestly without very high expectations.
I was pleasantly surprised.
Their boba tea is on par with boba specialty franchises. The boba pearls were cooked perfectly, with great texture, and the flavor balance was excellent from start to finish.
What impressed me most is that this is a Korean restaurant, not a café, yet they clearly have a strong understanding of how boba should be made.
Even though it’s not shown in my photos, I highly recommend the classic milk tea.
It’s well-balanced, smooth, and really lets the quality of the boba pearls shine.
On top of that, the food here is also very good.
True to the name Bulgogi House, the dishes are well-prepared and satisfying, making it a place where you can enjoy both a great meal and quality boba tea in one stop.
If you love boba tea and good Korean food, this place is definitely worth trying.

Yum!! I do not know how they get their chicken SO crispy, but I’m here for it. Food is fresh and you don’t feel overly stuffed when finished. My husband gets the box, saying he likes the spicy pork, and I get the crispy chicken with sweet and sour sauce. The staff is lovely!!

We love having this restaurant in our community, but unfortunately there have been too many menu changes and all the things I love about this place are going away. First the tofu came off the menu, now no scallion or kimchi pancake, which was craveable. And can’t get a large kimchi or even any to go. What’s next, my beloved stone pot? Also, why french fries, cheesesteaks and burritos? Like everywhere else. Bleh. When this place first opened you were served soup with your meal and little banchan to nibble on. Order and pay at the counter now instead of at the table, and asked to try the new sauces and was told no, it is only for the fried chicken, which we did not want bc that is not why we eat there. And the prices have gone waaaay up, like everywhere else, which I would pay if the things I love weren’t removed, but probably won’t be back for a while. Love the sweet owner, but this last experience needs to be shared. Still gave it 4 stars bc the stone pots are delicious always.

Nice little hole in the wall. I had the spicy pork bibimbap. It was tasty but I wish the egg yolk was runny. They have an extra spicy version I will go with next time. Lots of veggies and a big serving so lunch later!

My partner had the shrimp stir fried Ramen. Also a generous portion.

We shared the pot stickers appetizer. It was 3 for $5. Totally fair price cause they were handmade!

It was also pretty amazing that our server asked if we had any food allergies!

We will be back when we come to town next!

Went for dinner on a Sunday evening. Food was MTO and tasted delicious. Somewhat a sit down and help yourself restaurant? We were seated got the menu and then had to go to the counter to pay, the other family paid for their food after eating? Some utensils and other stuff is a help yourself. The shop has limited seating inside and outside and parking is limited as well. There was a couple of DoorDash deliveries. Ordered bibimbap and combo meal with beef and spicy pork it comes with jap chae(glass noodles), rice and radish or cucumber. Overall great food.

Based on the reviews, we were really excited to eat here. We even added 30 min to our drive so it’s in our way. However, when we entered the restaurant which was completely empty on a Sunday afternoon, our family of four were asked not to sit on the 4 people, but rather on the 2 people table. We ended up taking a to go. The kimbap was nice. I know that it does not traditionally go with kimchi but when I asked for some kimchi I was told no. A bit disappointing I must say.

This place is amazing! Everyone is so kind and welcoming and the food is DELICIOUS! Their Korean style fried chicken is the best I have ever had and their bibimbap is so flavorful! Please stop by this restaurant if you have the chance, you won’t be disappointed!

The food was delicious, my family of 5 and I went for lunch and tried everything we could, each meal amazing in their own way. I would have to say the pancakes were my favorite, and the sauce they gave with the meals tasted like a soy sauce and brought it all together. I would definitely recommend this if you are a person who like to try new things or loves going to a nice warm and welcome restaurant. My family also like the top hat shaped ice cubes.

Carry out, door dash or dine in… It doesn’t matter..the food and the service is always so spectacular. We love this place, and the prices are unbeatable.
Get the spicy pork bibimbap in a stone bowl… And tacos… And pot stickers… And honestly, just get it all. It’s amazing.

I called to place an order. When I asked for fried rice the lady told me I couldn’t order fried rice with what I was ordering. I said that doesn’t make sense as I have ordered the same items here previously and was never told this. She proceeded to say ok you can have fried rice. I wanted to just cancel my order but decided not to. I went and picked up my order which was supposed to be fried rice, shrimp tacos and a Korean roll. Wasn’t a fan of the Korean roll, fish tacos were good and the rice was not fried rice. It looked to be white rice and she threw some sauce over it. The rice was not cooked properly and had to throw it away. I have never been told I couldn’t order fried rice because of what was ordering until last night. I definitely won’t be returning here!
