Lived here for a few years and never tried Indian food while here. Authentic cuisine for sure! Very delicious food. We got a bit of everything. The lentil soup was my fave. I can eat the samosas all day; they’re my favorite. The tandoori chicken, the butter chicken, the mango drink were so flavorful. Also liked the garlic naan.

Traveled to Honolulu with my vegetarian mother-in-law September 2025, tried several Indian dishes and here is our review:
Kamana Kitchen wins hands down for service and food quality. Waiter provided us with all the little extras that Indian dishes should have with them. Spice Up Indian restaurant failed miserably on their mixed veg sabji, it was just carrot sabji with some sauce mixed in – we threw it out and only ate the Spinach Saag (which was also mostly potatoes). Tadka was the most expensive and cleanest restaurant of the three. They did not have any extras on the table (think pickled onions, salad, raita) – everything had a price and you are paying for the atmosphere. They did manage to make a super hot paratha for me, but it was only using red peppers and no fresh chilies – kinda yuck, but ate it with the tiny raita I paid over 3 dollars for. Kamana Kitchen all the way

When we were in Oahu, we ate halal food from Kamana Kitchen, and honestly it was one of the best experiences of our entire trip. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and so comforting, just like homemade.
But what truly made it unforgettable was Aisha, the lady who served us. She was the sweetest, kindest person we met in Oahu. She spoke to us so openly and warmly, like we had known her for years. She was so friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. She gave us amazing recommendations on where to go, what to see, and made us feel completely at home.
Her kindness and hospitality made our whole experience even better. We left feeling happy, welcomed, and so grateful. Kamana Kitchen wasn’t just great food — it was amazing people, and Aisha truly made it special.

Little hole in the wall Indian place. They have a really good lunch special of curry, Dahl, chana masala, and naan for a reasonable price. I end up eating here a couple of times a month and it never disappoints.

We stayed for 5 days in Honolulu and we ordered their food for most of the days as we visited with our toddler. Their yellow dal and Chana masala were so delicious. I would not recommend their palak paneer if you are looking for authentic north indian taste.

Dinner was amazing. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Biryanii, and three (3) orders of Naan. The portions look small, but looks can be deceiving. Our family of five (2 adults and 3 kids) had trouble finishing our food. You will not be disappointed going here. The only way we even knew about this restaurant was because it was right next to where we were staying. Service was great as well. The staff made you feel at home.

We got the lunch specials! Lamb curry was great. Star of the show would my chicken tikka masala, extra spicy!! The chicken was tender and juicy, sauce was flavorful and definitely hot! Naan was warm with great chew and light crust to it. Mango lassi was refreshing. Everything was so delicious! Service was quick and everyone is so friendly!

We visited Kamala’s Kitchen twice during our stay in Oahu and really enjoyed the experience. Yesterday we ordered the chicken tikka masala and today the chicken biryani—both dishes were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. It was a pleasant surprise to find good Indian food in Oahu, Hawaii. Maria served us during our visit and she was very friendly and nice, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re craving Indian cuisine while on the island.
