After much consideration, we will be closing Melty Dedham, with our final day of service being Sunday, March 8th. Opening our doors in September 2024 was a dream come true, and we are incredibly proud of the 4.8-star rating and community support we received in such a short time. Serving Dedham and surrounding towns — participating in local events, hosting fundraisers, and welcoming so many wonderful families — has meant more to us than we can express. Like many restaurants navigating a challenging environment, we faced hurdles that ultimately made it impossible to continue. This decision was not made lightly, and we gave it everything we had. We would be honored to serve you before we close. Thanks for your support and loyalty.

Place is a gem. Came in for lunch on the weekend. Got the 4 Cheese Classic and the Melty Club with Tomato Basil Soups.
Soup was amazing; creamy, flavorful, low-acid, with a wonderful spicy little kick. Much better than expected honestly.
Sandwiches weren’t soggy at all. The different cheeses come together well and are readily distinguishable. We especially liked the ham, turkey, and bacon club.
Staff was awesome and very attentive, hang on to them! Little pricey for what it is but that’s just about everywhere fast-casual these days.
Support this place, comfort food at it’s finest! Can’t wait to come again. Puts the ol Cheeseboy to shame.

The food here is really good, has nice flavoring and good sized portions. The staff members are helpful and kind. The hospitality is great. The service is good, and food doesn’t take long to make. The place also stays clean, no crumbs on the table and trash is always thrown away. Definitely recommend trying.

Melty is a quick service restaurant serving a wide variety of grilled cheese sandwiches, something that used to be popular around the Boston area but disappeared over time.
We got takeout, but the food arrived quickly and tasted good and not soggy, even with all the ingredients within the sandwich.
I got the BBQ brisket grilled cheese with chipotle mayo. The grilled cheese was good, with a good taste to the cheese, melted good that wasn’t too melty but also not hard. I couldn’t really taste the brisket, but the sandwich itself was good for the price and portion. The chipotle mayo was also decent, and it did still go along with the grilled cheese.

As someone who has Celiac Disease, I greatly struggle with finding good and safe places to eat.
Let me just start by saying, the staff here is beyond knowledgeable about their food, the ingredients, and with food allergies. I felt safe and secure eating there with my partner and some friends (two of whom are also Celiac). I ordered a caprese melt on gluten free bread with tater tots and chipotle mayo and immediately they were able to advise me that the mayo and the tots were NOT gluten free. They were able to offer suggestions, such as their chowder soup or their pre-bagged and sealed chips.
They were also amazing in asking if I had celiac or just a preference. They changed all of their gloves and utensils and prepared my food away from my partner’s food which contained gluten.
Honestly such an amazing place to eat. My partner and I have been saying how this very well just may become our favorite place to get dinner out!

I have enjoyed (and LOVED) Melty ever since they opened in 2024. I have taken friends, family, and coworkers here and they all have loved it. I am truly sad to hear that Melty will be closing, and I will miss coming here so so much. Everyone who worked at Melty has always been so kind. I am glad I was able to enjoy it for as long as I did. I was driving around with my wife and searched for food nearby when Melty came up. Exceptional food, super friendly staff, wished me a happy birthday after my wife let it slip. I would recommend this place if you like grilled cheese. I got the French dip and it was more flavorful than any other French dip I’ve had recently. 10 out of 5 stars.

Everything was delicious and I am a picky eater. My husband is a nit picker and even his eyes lit up in ecstacy upon first bite of the BBQ brisket and loaded tater tots that had his taste buds unexpectedly delighted with the flavor combination!

Love this place. Great food and great staff. The brisket, chicken parm, pulled pork are my top three but everything here is outstanding. One of my go to spots after a long day. Hits the spot every time. Kaelyn the GM is amazing and friendly. Always greets me and everyone who comes in with a smile. Can’t say enough about Meltys. 2 thumbs up. One of my favorite spots. Will be back again and again.
