This is a nice place to have a snack or meal. We visited downtown Chico and came here for a snack.
A young couple runs the shop and are friendly and talkative.
The Thai boat noodle and the meatballs were good. Add some hot chili oil to the noodles and it brings out the flavor.
Many more items in the menu to try on our next visit.

I had the Fried Instant Noodles they were good, and had a little kick of heat to it.
I am glad I added the pork belly to the dish.

I’m so glad we discovered Thao’s! As someone who loves Asian cuisine, I was blown away by how flavorful and comforting everything was.

We ordered the Boat Noodles, Fried Garlic Noodles, and Thai Papaya Salad—and every dish was incredible. The Boat Noodles especially stood out with their rich, spicy broth that felt like a warm hug in a bowl. The Fried Garlic Noodles were perfectly savory, and the Papaya Salad had just the right balance of heat and freshness.

You can tell the food is made with care and passion. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel good about supporting a local business that truly deserves to thrive. We’ll definitely be back again and again!

Definitely an unknown gem as it’s relatively new. Ordered the pho. Portions were big, protein was plentiful, and the chicken bowl we got on the side was good. For sure coming back and highly recommend!

Highly recommended that you try this place out! We had the Thai papaya salad, chicken bowl, house special and Thai tea. The papaya salad was exactly like they serve in Thailand. Caution, though, because mild is still pretty spicy. The food was all very flavorful and reasonably priced. The premises are very clean and comfortable. We’ll definitely be back here for more! Oh, and the Thai tea was also delicious and refreshing, too! Gin bai leui!

I’ve been obsessed with the chicken spring rolls! Each roll has a decent portion of protein and clean ingredients which is important to me. And also love the Thai papaya salad. I’ve had a pleasant experience each time I’ve gone in to pick up or dine in.

Ube slush is a 10/10 and has an ube taste. (In comparison to some foods/drinks that are just purple and sweet). The fried potatoes are cheap, filling, and tasty, also a 10/10. As of 9/17/25 the AC is down it is really hot.
