My take was a little different than my husbands, so I’ll give you both. The price were very reasonable, albeit the portions were more like lunch size, but for me it was enough.
The dishes had a decent amount of noodles but could have used a bit more protein and vegetables. I thought the curry dishes had a nice sweet curry flavor but I didn’t taste any spice in either dish nor did I get a taste of citrus from the lemongrass. I still enjoyed it and would
go back again and try some other dishes.
My husband on the other hand had a different experience. He said the soup was good but felt the curry dishes were very bland and lacked flavor especially salt and spice. I am not sure he will be going back with me.
Overall I recommend you check it out for yourself. The jury is still out for us, but I would try it again.
I ordered the combo pho. It’s not the best pho but it will do in a pinch. They don’t even give you thai basil or jalapeños. For drinks, I had the lemonade soda. It was too sweet for me but nothing some water couldn’t fix. My husband had the bun bo hue, which was pretty spicy – not something you want to eat on a hot day. It’s also not traditionally made – it seemed like they just had the lemongrass based broth and added chili flakes to it, but it was still pretty good overall. I especially liked the thicker noodles they used which bun bo hue is typically served with, so at least they followed that part of the recipe.
While I would go out of my way to come back here, it’s not a bad option for pho if you happen to be in the area.
Not expensive, great quality. The Pho here is not as strong in spices compared to other places, but that’s the key point of they are so attractive and the homemade hot chili sauce is fantastic!
It was my first visit, so I ordered a small Pho, and it was so delicious that I bought a large size Pho again. If you like Vietnamese food, I recommend not to miss this place.
It was a cozy and comfortable place, the lady/owner is so sweet. $50 for everything after tip – can’t beat that. We will be back!
I find myself craving their Chicken Pho weekly and it manages to exceed my expectations every damn time!
Their homemade chili sauce is good enough to drink and the rice paper spring rolls come with a peanut sauce that you’ll think about for days.
Great food, great service, great prices.
The restaurant is small yet perfect for the experience it is trying to capture. The bathroom is remarkably clean and adorable. Parking is a little difficult but worth it if you can find a spot. Will always choose this place if in the area.
