Exceptional Food & Service at BFM
From the moment I walked into BFM, I could tell this place operates differently. The owner was dressed professionally in a chef’s uniform, which immediately set the tone. Even while assisting another customer, he acknowledged me right away, greeted me warmly, and offered me a menu to look over while I waited. That level of attentiveness says a lot.
When it was my turn, he took time to answer my questions and genuinely explain how everything is made. You can tell he cares about quality and intention behind his food. We even talked about how I make many things at home for health reasons, and he was incredibly kind — he actually sent me home with a sample of something he makes so I could try it myself. That meant a lot.
The food was top-notch — beautifully prepared, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I also really appreciate his effort to support other small local businesses by featuring and promoting their products.

I walked in and ordered at the counter. The lady who took my order was really friendly. Hats off the the chef; the burger I ordered was one of the best burgers I’ve had in my life. It was perfectly cooked, juicy in the middle with crispy laced edges. The toppings were all good and went together and with the burger very well. The fries were also great. I didn’t have the appetite for a milkshake this time but next time I will. I’ve been meaning to try this place and I’m really happy I did and I will be back next time I’m in the area.

This little hole in the wall was the best part of my business trip in Indiana by far.
The owner/chef was the most down to earth, friendly, and outstanding person I’ve met and you can tell he cares about this place and loves his job and talking to customers.
I got a beyond burger that was fantastic, and my coworker got a normal beef burger that he said was the best he’s ever had.
And they also sell off baubles and doodads, like journals, dice, and more.
I’ll stop here again and again as I travel through the area.

Was working in the area and decided to try it out. Definitely did not disappoint and was back again during the same week. You can tell that effort is placed into making the food taste as good as possible while caring about the customer experience as well. Definitely will be eating here again when working or traveling through the area again!

You can’t get any more unassuming than this place. But the Chef here is doing everything right, lots of from-scratch quality ingredients.
I’ll start with what I loved. Loaded fries with a house spice blend and BEER CHEESE on top? Fantastic.
Custom milkshakes with fresh ingredients? Fantastic.
Double patty smash burger patty melt? Here is my only complaint. It was great. Fantastic caramelized onions. But the burger is by no definition smashed. Heck, it’s about as thick to me as a standard burger. If you go in with that in mind, it is a fantastic burger! I’d love to see a 1/10 lb patty super super thin with crispy lace using their amazing ingredients.
To end it, lots of super cool local art like leather journals and dice towers, as well as local flavored honey.

Me and a friend found this place 4 years ago during a yearly visit to the Butler/Auburn area. That first visit was amazing and every year we make sure to stop by. The food is consistently top notch, full of flavor, and somehow the owner continues to improve on perfection yearly. The service is always great with the owner always being a joy to talk with. Great atmosphere too. We have been back yearly since our first visit and have been bringing as many friends with us yearly since then. Truly cannot recommend them enough to any travelers.

Ridiculous! Ridiculously good. Best burger I’ve had in forever. Quality ingredients you can taste it in everything. The chef is amazing, makes the burgers how you like it which I like it perfect and that’s what I got. House made chips, honey ice cream, crafted sodas, who does that? And as a small business who supports local businesses as well by sourcing their ingredients locally- we love that! But don’t take my word for it, the food speaks for itself.

We stumbled upon this place… we pulled up the guy came out said they did special beef and noodles w/mashed potatoes, green beans & rolls he was closed already but he would make us to go boxes so we gladly accepted… THE BEST BEEF & NOODLES, MASHED POTATOES & GREEN BEANS EVER… what a super nice thing he did to come out to the car & offer that then to top it off the food was amazing… I will be returning!!!

Our first time experiencing this little restaurant for lunch on Monday. The owner was very nice and very attentive. The smash burgers were very dry and extremely salty. A very small piece of cheese was added and a scant of mayo on the hard and burnt buns. Nothing to drink but water was disappointing. I guess we came at a bad time, but I was expecting a great burger as the reviews said. It was not a good lunch.

Nice local burger place. Stopped for lunch and had a jalapeño smashburger with chips. It was good. They made a mistake on my order (forgot an extra patty) and I wasn’t worried about it given they were busy but they somehow figured it out after the fact and gave me a bowl of Chilli and an extra burger! Very thoughtful. The worker behind the counter/waiter was very kind and helpful.
As far as burger places go it was the best bang for the buck that I can remember having. The chips were excellent and I wouldn’t mind trying the fries sometime.
After the extra burger and soup I was too full to try a milk shake but they did look good.
