An unknown spot in the middle of no where. It did take a while to get our orders taken, and for food to come out, but they were searching for (if i had the quess) the manager or owner? To fix a computer issue. Other than that, a blast to the past with delicious food. Thank you

This is a sleepy little stop along the highway. The diner staff are also the hotel staff for the Wyndham behind the building. The food is exactly what you expect from a little diner like this and the menu is written along the walls on whiteboards that frame the ceiling. Everything was clean and the staff were friendly.

We arrived in the area in the late evening and figured we’d stay at the hotel behind the diner. Found out we had to register for the hotel at the diner based on the sign in the door.
We were behind some road crew checking in and that took a bit of time. But we were able to land a room while waiting I noticed it said “Limited menu” there on the counter. Seems the lady running it also runs the hotel and has no one else to work the grill at the time.
On the plus side we were able to order a pair of cheeseburgers and fries and go unload the car to return in time to find the food almost ready. The burgers were fine and the fries cooked. We ate our food and departed to get a night sleep.
Perhaps some of the other menu items would have been nice. But we were happy to get what we did as the alternative would have been a bag of chips and a granola bar out of the car.
The appearance of the diner was neat. The lady working the place was gruff but had a sense of humor and responded well to me joking with her. The few people in the place talked about different types of ammunition for their guns. Toto, we are in rural Kansas.

Ruby was worth the stop! She was an amazing waitress-cooking-chef-supervisor. She was very funny and she took really good care of us, and that made our night awesome ! The food was great and at a reasonable price. Ruby can make you whatever you want! Take care Ruby !

Cute place and kind staff. Food was typical diner food. They were out of a handful of things like hot dogs and chicken strips so my kids got given slicer chicken fried chicken. The fries are super good and the tater tots were average so go with the fries 🙂

This diner is a nice little surprise in the middle of nowhere. Was headed to Colorado for a business trip when I found Penny’s Diner and stopped for a bite to eat. There is not much at all in Sharon Springs, but this diner is in great shape and open 24 hours a day. This is a great thing for such a small town. The food is basic diner type food, but it is good food. Also ordered a milkshake on the way out that was perfect. If I ever get back to Sharon Springs again, I’ll be stopping it.

Over enjoyed my experinece here. Was very nice that there is truck parking next door and it is open 24 hours. There is nothing better than being able to stop in for breakfast and fresh coffee at anytime of the day. There were no prices on the menu which I found a bit odd so I’m not exactly sure what individual things cost. I purchased 2x breakfast meals, a coffee, a Pepsi, and jalapeño poppers for $28 which I thought was fair priced. (Meal for 2). Would defiently stop again.

The food was pretty good; you know, diner food. It was fun to sit at the bar and watch the guy behind the counter cook our food on the grill. If you’re into that kind of stuff, it’s kind of cool.
The vibe was creepy though. We dubbed this the “Stephen King Diner” on our trip because we just couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off in there. We asked another person in the town about it, and she knew exactly what I was talking about.
I was done though when I looked over and saw the server was fist-deep in his nose digging for gold and then observing what he found. It’s a no for me, dawg.
Head over to the Farmhouse. They’re on the same lot and a lot less creepy.

Unique little burger joint. We enjoyed the food and the service was great. It’s in an airstream type trailer that was decorated in 50’s style.

Quaint little diner with an enjoyable 50s vibe. The food was excellent but the portions were small considering the cost. The staff (I won’t name her but my guess is she’s in management) was very rude.
Wasn’t sure if we seat ourselves or wait so we stood by the door. She asked “what do you want” so that should’ve been our first clue. She also got one of the orders wrong—the entirely wrong entree, not just a small alteration.
It was fine once we started eating and the coffee was flowing nicely but we’ll definitely not be back again. Recommend you just keep driving right through Sharon Springs.
