Came here on a Saturday night for a late dinner. The food was good and the atmosphere was great. We sat downstairs which was so quiet and easy to have a conversation, not sure if the same goes for upstairs—looked packed tightly. Service was poor, not sure if this was our servers first day and he was left without training, but we received our entrees before our appetizer and drinks. Plus multiple dishes were forgotten.

Hip and cozy.
Galactic menu.
Lollipop chicken was blend unfortunately. The burger was amazing – the patty was thick and bursting with flavorful. The eggplant meatballs were novelty but sooooop good.
Very very good service. A shout out to the busboy for being so diligent.

Great location for a quick bite before a show.

We sat at the bar for cocktail before our dinner. Our bartender Maurice was very friendly and the drinks were great. Definitely will back for more cocktails. Highly recommend the madam brown and Negroni sour

Went on a Saturday night with a reservation. The service felt rushed to get us out and made it clear they were stressed. The space was cramped and hard to maneuver and with the loud music it made it hard to for the wait staff to hear us. “Tonight we do not have any specials so what we have is on the menu. We have a small kitchen” They forgot a drink and got one food order wrong. They applied gratuities for a party of 5 too, which I normally am ok with but it felt like they wanted us out more than they want to provide a good meal.

The Warren is one of those spots that instantly makes you feel like you’re in on a local secret. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between upscale and relaxed — dim lighting, cozy seating, and a great playlist humming in the background.

Service was on point too — friendly, knowledgeable staff who actually make you feel welcome instead of rushed. Whether you’re out on a date or catching up with friends, this place sets the right vibe. I’ll definitely be back.

The Warren in West Village is a true gem—everything about this spot, from the food to the cozy ambiance, makes it a place you’ll want to return to. The braised short ribs were melt-in-your-mouth tender and packed with flavor, while the crispy pork belly had the perfect balance of rich, savory goodness and crackling texture. The hamachi crispy rice was a standout—light, fresh, and incredibly satisfying.

The duck pappardelle was absolutely delicious, with the perfect blend of hearty and indulgent flavors. And let’s talk about that double-fried chicken—perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and just seasoned to perfection.

The ambiance at The Warren is warm and inviting, striking that ideal balance between upscale and comfortable. It’s the perfect spot for a cozy night out in the city. Whether you’re dining with friends or looking for a romantic date night, The Warren delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend!

The Warren has its moments, but overall, it feels a bit too much of a scene for what you’re getting. The place is always packed, and the constant shuttling of customers in and out can make it feel more chaotic than enjoyable. It’s definitely a popular spot, but sometimes that means you’re squeezed into a table that’s way too close to the next one.

As for the food, it’s tasty, but overpriced for the portion sizes. The oysters were definitely the standout—fresh and briny, they were a highlight of the meal. The ricotta toast also impressed, creamy and savory, with just the right balance of flavors. But outside of those, the rest of the dishes didn’t quite live up to the price tag.

While The Warren has a fun atmosphere, there are plenty of other spots in the West Village offering a similar vibe and food at a better value. It’s a good place to stop by if you’re in the area, but don’t expect anything that’ll leave a lasting impression.

We waited 50 minutes past our reservation for a table, but the hostess was very kind and did her best to keep us updated. She also offered us comped drinks for the wait. The food was excellent and the restaurant is cozy, but our waitress was very rude. She was condescending and short with us. It seemed like a busy night, but still not the best attitude from our server.

Our New Year’s Eve reservation was completely ruined by the hostility and unprofessionalism of our waitress.
When we were seated, my fiancé’s chair was placed directly in the main walkway, and he was immediately being bumped into by passing guests and staff. To avoid this, he simply moved his chair to sit across from me. The waitress approached our table with immediate hostility, stating he “could not” sit there because she needed access to another table.
While that explanation may have been reasonable, her delivery was not. Her tone and facial expressions were aggressive, sarcastic, and dismissive. When my fiancé calmly explained that sitting in the walkway was uncomfortable and unsafe and asked whether another table might work better, she doubled down, repeatedly emphasizing that it was New Year’s Eve, the restaurant was fully booked, and there was “nowhere else to go” all with a sarcastic smirk on her face.
After an awkward pause, she solved the issue by asking the table behind us to remove an extra chair, something they immediately agreed to and even commented that they would never tolerate such poor service. Afterward, the waitress and hostess openly stared at our table while chatting, making us feel unwelcome enough that we ultimately left our reservation. I would never go back.
