We discovered this little gem 2 weeks ago and have been there 4 times, twice in last 2 days.
Delicious, plentiful food options fair prices, everything is prepared while you wait.
They don’t have in house dining but that’s not a problem.
You’d better be hungry!

Are family has been going to First taste for a couple generations, and they’ve never disappointed us. Their Singapore Mei Fun is the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried plenty of other places.

The orange chicken tasted terrible and they totally messed up the order. When calling to talk to them the woman questioned whether I was reading receipt correctly, no refund for food not given and no apology for messed up food. Do not recommend the food is lousy and the customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. The bourbon chicken looks boiled and sauce on the bottom.. Mongolian beef has more onion than beef, teriyaki beef is VERY salty. And aside from the onions in the one dish there was no vegetables in any of our 3 combos. But it was inexpensive!…

My mom and I always love coming here to get Chinese food and we think it’s the best one we’ve tried so far. The Chicken Chow Mein and Beef and Broccoli are our favorites!

First time trying this local place out, pretty impressed. There are only two good places in Inverness area supposedly, this being one of them. Didn’t disappoint. I would give them an 8/10. I have had better, but also have had very worse.

Got some basic items to try this time. Will have to explore the menu out a bit more next time. Food tasted like good quality takeout, the employees were prompt and polite.

Placed my order online, they called me when I arrived in the parking lot just as the time-estimate for pickup was—so they made the order in great timing, no false guess-timate or waiting around.

Prices were very fair, food was pretty good, I think I just need to try a couple more items for me to really be sold on this place.

The Szechuan beef was the best thing ordered, veggies mixed in were great texture-wise and the sauce was AMAZING. I will have to try the chicken version of it next time.

Only suggestion for the restaurant would be for the chicken fried rice to have the veggies tossed or cooked with the rice/chicken longer so they absorb the flavor. The chicken and rice tasted like boiled chicken, topped with cooked peas/carrots. Still pretty good though.

Consistency of the lo mein was very good. The flavor I couldn’t put my finger on. Maybe a slight peanut-taste? Not bothered, just couldn’t figure it out.

The egg roll and the spring rolls I got were fine. Good textures and flavors as anticipated. Always good choices as apps.

Will come back again, wonderful service. Excited to explore the menu. Thank you First Taste for the great experience!

Have to say, they are the best the area. It’s take out, no eat in, but food is good. Place is clean. This would be my go to place to get a good meal. Portions are good for they price.

Been wanting to find some good Chinese take out in the area and found this place from Google.
At first glance, I wasn’t sure they were open. The shopping center only has a couple open stores as it seems the anchor stores have left .
Luckily, they were open and friendly enough.
There were two of us and we both got the lunch special. One was shrimp and broccoli, the other one was beef and garlic sauce.
The shrimp was good, and decent size, 5 total. The beef was soft and had only one or two chewy pieces. Better than most take aways.
The main issue was both were kind of dry, with hardly any sauce. The special comes with a can of soda as well, but we had to ask for it and was directed to a cooler with 3 choices. Coke, Sprite, or orange. No diet soda. The rice is the yellow pork fried style, and was fresh.
If in the area, maybe would try again and see if it gets any better, but wouldn’t make a special trip.
You can eat inside if you like, but the seating is limited to a couple tables like you’d expect from similar places and really designed for carty out.

For some reason my son thinks its good so we picked up dinner here when we had relatives from out of town. Absolutely disgusting and we were all still hungry after chucking it in the garbage disposal.

The online menu prices and the prices that you charged are significantly different. According to the website menu, what I ordered calculated up to $15. When I went to pick it up, it was over $30.
