I don’t know where to begin, first and foremost, if you truly appreciate fresh seafood, don’t waste your money anywhere else because this is place the one and only stop! The food was amazing and there was plenty of stuff in every order to get full on. Price was very fair and almost cheap for what you get. I will be returning to and recommending this place for all seafood needs when they are in season. You no longer have to travel 9 to 14 hours to the gulf to get amazing seafood.

Love their hush puppies. Fried catfish also excellent. Sometimes order catfish & gator bite platter when I want to mix things up. Only thing I personally don’t like is the coleslaw. It’s not bad, just I like mine a different way, but this is fine since you can get double hush puppies to substitute it. Very much recommended you try their food.

We ordered a fried flounder sandwich each with just water at about 11 AM on Tuesday,12/23/2025. The lighted restaurant sign outside said “open” but the printed hours of operation confusingly said “open Wed-Sat”. We were the first customers in there. I was asked to pay in advance for the sandwiches and to add a tip to their cost. I said I would only pay for the sandwiches in advance and to decide on a tip later. I was instructed to go fill our own water cups from a dispenser. We are both handicapped. The sandwiches were brought out by a different server after a short wait. They were tasteless, seemed a bit undercooked, and were encased in cheap, soggy white bread buns that were also tasteless. The food was terrible.The bill was $23.05. We won’t be back.

This place has the best coleslaw! I don’t like coleslaw. It’s always too sweet anywhere else I’ve tried it. On a whim, I tried the coleslaw at GCCSM. It has more of a Cajun taste and flavor and I loved it. When I asked Misty about the ingredients, she smiled and coyly replied, “Oh, we just put several different things in it.” I don’t blame you, Misty. I wouldn’t give away the family secret recipe either. My wife and I love the Trigger fish seafood plate. It’s lightly fried and comes with coleslaw, French fries, and hush puppies. It’s a full plate of food with enough left over to take home for a snack later. The new place has replaced picnic tables with dining tables and booths. There is also ample parking space. They have a wide variety of fresh seafood and the service is always friendly. You should really check it out. You won’t be disappointed!
