Waffle House is perfect stop for comfort food to refuel on a long road trip!
My wife and I stopped at the location just south of Richmond, VA, on our way to visit relatives in NC. We both got the All-American Platter, with a waffle, 2 eggs any style, choice of breakfast meat, choice of hash browns or grits, and toast. The waffles and bacon were the two highlights. Delicious!
I ordered the hash browns “scattered, smothered [with finely diced onions] & covered [with cheese].” They were good, too. My only preference would be to include shredded cheddar cheese , as opposed to a single slice of plasticy American cheese.
Both the server and the cook (didn’t catch their names) were friendly and took pride in their work. We arrived around dinnertime (5pm) and were the only customers there at the time.
The atmosphere is standard, basic diner. Booths and counter seating. No frills.
Overall, we always enjoy a nice breakfast platter of comfort food at Waffle House, especially while traveling on the road! ️

We visited Waffle House, and from the moment we walked in, we were impressed. I’ve been to several locations, but this one is by far the best of all. The atmosphere is warm, clean, and has that classic Waffle House vibe that makes you feel welcome right away.
The food was fresh, hot, and perfectly prepared. The waffles were golden on the outside and soft on the inside, the hashbrowns cooked exactly the way we ordered them, and the coffee was delicious. Everything tasted homemade and comforting.
But what truly made the experience outstanding was our server, Beatrix. I’m not sure if that’s the correct spelling, but I want to highlight him because his service was exceptional. He was friendly, attentive, quick, and always smiling. He made sure we had everything we needed, gave great recommendations, and treated our family with a kindness that really stands out. People like him make the whole visit special.
Overall, I give it 5 out of 5 stars. Between the amazing food, the welcoming atmosphere, and Beatrix’s excellent service, this location has become my favorite Waffle House. We will definitely be coming back.

This location never disappoints! We usually get Diane as a waitress! She is very attentive to our needs. Waffle House is my kid’s favorite restaurant. He loves the burgers!

I have eaten here many times with no complaints, but today I saw something that made me get up and leave without eating. One of the waitresses was allowed to work with her hair hanging all the way down past her backside. Then while calling in her order in i witnessed her run across the serving bar and the waffle iron. I’m sorry but that is disgusting and she should not be allowed to wear her hair down like that.

My 2 little boys and I come here a lot. We love it ! I’ve been to other Waffle House locations in the past and they’re all horrible , just dirty. But this place ? You don’t get that. Food is great , service is top notch , and CLEAN. This is the only Waffle House we will go too.

we came in an ordered close to $60 worth of food, tipping almost $8 (cause it was a togo order an i was tryna be decently nice) but my toast was beyond burnt , portion wasn’t right i felt, the meat just was over cooked and i usually don’t complain but i almost felt the need to. this is wild, i love waffle house an now i have to avoid this location due to either the cook not knowing how to toast bread properly or the staff not saying” hey bro, that looks a lil too burnt , try it again,”

⭐ 5 Stars – Exceptional Service and a Memorable Visit!
I just had one of the most memorable experiences dining at Waffle House, and it was entirely because of our server, Misty!!
Right from the moment we were seated, her warmth radiated through the entire visit— she faithfully refilled my drink, and genuinely seemed to care about how I was doing. Watching her interact with other customers was like experiencing a master class in hospitality. That kind of sincerity is hard to come by.
All in all, this server turned a simple breakfast into a highlight of my day. If every Waffle House had a Mitzy, the world would be a much brighter place.

Food was great as always! However, service from one of the servers was very poor. She went to sit me at the counter and I asked if she could clean the area and her response was it’s already cleaned and rolled her eyes. However there were crumbs all over the chair and cup marks on the counter. She was also more focus on just talking in general vs clearing tables and assisting guest. Saying we are at a Waffle House should not be an excuse for poor service.
I would not recommend this specific waddle house. Drive a few miles up the street for quality service or go next door to Chicfila instead.
