I used the Burger King app to place an order for myself and a coworker in advance for drive-thru pickup. I was already running a bit behind, so I was counting on a smooth experience — unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
Right away, I noticed something was off. I received my email confirmation at 21 minutes past the hour (the actual time I placed the order), but the app showed that the order was placed at 13 minutes past and would be ready by 15 past — somehow 6 minutes before I actually ordered it. The app also showed only a 2-minute prep time, even though it initially flashed an estimate of 5–7 minutes.
By the time I arrived (10 minutes later), the restaurant and drive-thru were completely empty. Despite that, my order hadn’t even been started. I watched as the lone employee kindly and efficiently prepared everything from scratch only after I got to the window.
This defeats the whole purpose of ordering ahead — it added stress instead of saving time. On top of that, the rewards points expire, which makes them feel more like a gimmick than a true benefit.
That said, the food was good, and the employee working was absolutely wonderful — warm, friendly, and professional. She deserves 5 stars on her own. But overall, the experience was disappointing.
Burger King, please fix the app and ordering system — it could be such a helpful tool if it actually worked as intended.

I’m usually not a huge fan of fast food breakfast, but Burger King really surprised me! The Croissan’wich was flaky and buttery, the sausage was flavorful, and the French toast sticks were crispy and hot. Definitely a step up from other fast food breakfast options. I’d come back again!

We’ve been enjoying ordering breakfast lunch and dinner meals at Wauconda location for many years. During that time period we’ve been served most often by the manager, Petra. She seems to be there almost anytime day or night and even weekends. What a pleasure she and her staff are! They remember most customers names and are so professional. Petra is a great business leader to the Wauconda area community.

Ashley helped me choose exactly what I wanted & she was so extremely friendly!! The frozen pineapple float machine was broken, but right when it became working again, Ashley personally made me the frozen pineapple float (which i did pay for) & brought it to me. This is the only Burger King that I will go to because of the customer service is excellent. The food is fresh. Every time I walk in there’s always a smell in everybody’s face they know customers by the first name. Ashley and Patty are very great with customer service and always greeting people with a smile. I will not trade this place for another one. Keep up the great work.
