The slice of the Wiseguy pizza I had was quite good from a flavor profile standpoint, but the crust was a bit too thick from a New York-style pizza standpoint. The toppings were excellent. The interior space is spartan, but satisfactory for grabbing a slice. The staff were welcoming and efficient. Although the beer selection is small, there were a couple of good choices.

Maybe it was because today was my first visit to Tony’s Slice house, And maybe because I was a bit starstruck as I am a pizza maker hobbyist and have Tony’s book “The Pizza Bible” which I use his dough recipes but I gotta give it 5 stars all the way around.
We went in a bit before noon, so literally no line, walked right up to order. Huge menu selections, and the pizza in the windows call to you just like puppies behind glass at a pet adoption agency. I wanted to take them all home. I tried the “Wise Guy” slice and my wife had the Wednesday special the “Purple Potato” slice. I’m a California Native and never been to New York, so I have no basis for judgement as to the “New York Style” offered here. (I’d live to hear a New Yorker’s take) but both slices were incredible. And huge slices too. Cripsy crust, and the bottom cooked well just like I like it. You can tell they are cooked on a wire rack… just an observation. Maybe that helps with the crispy’ness? And the dough bottom and crust had either a very fine corn meal or possibly semolina, which adds a very pleasing texture in the bite. The crust does crackle when you fold it (had to do it!) Toppings were very flavorful and a visual treat as well.
Busy staff, and all that I interacted with seemed friendly and helpful.
Pricing for the slices were very reasonable IMO. “Good cheap lots”
Wiseguy toppings: Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Sweet & Spicy Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Ricotta, Tony’s Hot Pepper Oil & Green Onion.
Purple Potato toppings: Mozzarella, Sliced Purple Potatoes, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Rosemary, Feta & Pesto Swirl (No Tomato Sauce)
Bottom line is, we will be back. Plenty more on the menu!

I enjoyed the meal. I visited based on a friend’s recommendation, and although it was crowded, the food was delicious. However, some of the dishes seemed to have been prepared a while ago, as the outer layers were a bit hard, but that was still acceptable. Also, do they really need that many staff members? There seemed to be more staff than customers…

The pizza and all the options are amazing. The salads are on a whole other level. We even order it to go and it travels well. But I would say eating in is preferred. There is not a lot of sitting space in side, but when the weather is nicer there is plenty of outdoor seating.

OMG! This pizza has so much flavor! I love it, it’s our new pizza spot and we’re not going no where. The sauce is tangy, the topping are fresh and juicy. I love the combination of flavors and how they marry. This was a great experience and we’ll be back very soon. We’ll be trying everything on the menu next. Thanks for a great Pizza!

we had a great time trying slice house for the first time! so many people have been recommending slice house, and it’s an obvious reason why! it’s a place where you order & pay, and then they bring the pizza to your table. so let’s get into it!
FOOD:
we tried a few other slices that aren’t pictured, and we all collectively agree that the pizza was fantastic! the NYC style pizza is perfect to fold in half in eat it traditionally. the detroit style pizza has the YUMMIEST cheese crust that we all immediately indulged in. we felt the detroit style had a little more sauce than we preferred, but had SO much flavor. the sicilian style is also great, but we noticed that crust was a little drier than the others.
SEATING:
i wouldn’t recommend eating inside for larger groups. we were a party of 9, and felt so bad, because it felt like we were occupying most of the tables. however, there’s TONS of outside seating (when it isn’t hotter than a hot pocket outside).
PARKING:
lots of parking adjacent to the restaurant and in a bigger lot across the way.
SERVICE:
despite it being consistently busy, the staff were all extremely friendly, patient, and provided excellent service throughout out entire dining experience.

Really good pizza, really small space to eat, patio was dirty. I recommend getting it to-go. Parking can be tight on busier nights.

Crusts are consistent and tasty.

Sauces are delicious and veggies are fresh. Service is excellent.

When I’m in the mood for a slice, this is my new go-to.

I feel like I didn’t get them at the best time/day.

It was a hey you want to try this by the pizza slice.

It was smaller inside than I expected but still they do have some tables if you wanted to eat there.

The menu was extensive and they even have vegan options! (oh heck yes)

I got two slices with my husband. They were okay a little over cooked.

Perhaps we need to try again and get custom pizza!

I love the original place in SF and this place lives up to the standards of Tony’s pizza, service is fast and the food is delicious! Can’t wait to go back. Also I tried the bucatini for the first time and it was phenomenal!

The ordering process was smooth, and the slices were ready quickly, which was nice. However, the crust on both slices I tried was extremely hard and dry, making it difficult to enjoy. The flavors were pretty underwhelming and didn’t leave much of an impression. I hadn’t realized this was more of a fast-food style pizza spot, and honestly, I’d probably choose Taco Bell—despite not eating there in over five years—before coming back here again.
