Amazing food and incredible service. I highly recommend the steaks or fried chicken! It’s the best you’ll ever taste!
The bartender in the evening is awesome, he’ll never let you go thirsty . Remember to TIP because it’s a big part of their income.
If you get the chance add the salad bar, it’s got a big selection and is worth the trip. Not in the mood for lunch or dinner? Don’t worry Jake & Chet’s Cafe / Sundowner Lounge serves breakfast all day!
Open most holidays, food service till 9pm. Bar is open untill 12pm except Fri/Sat it’s open till 2am.
Don’t forget to try to WIN a few dollars on the Dragon Accent game, it’s not gambling it’s a game of skill!

So glad my bandmates found this spot while crossing Kansas! Fabulous non-chain diner style restaurant in what might be the countries largest food desert. Loved the Rueben! Great service…

Great food and service. We were bobtail to be able to eat here. Huge portions and homemade food. Hashbrowns and french fries are homemade. Coffee cup never went dey and the waitress was very nice. Carry out available. Lounge with occasional live music in the back.

Passing through on our way back home from Texas. After Sturgis rally type food, it’s nice to eat good homemade food. Salad bar was excellent, don’t find that a lot these days. The soup which im sure is homemade was delicious. Service and atmosphere was great, too bad we don’t live close by, would be here every other day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thank you

Good place, home cooked taste and homey feel. I stopped in for breakfast and all of the menu is relatively inexpensive. Good service, I never saw the bottom of my water or coffee at any point that I was eating here. Met one of the owners while eating, they are a great conversationalists and very friendly. I also had the coconut pie which was delicious.

Absolute worst service!!! The older, red-headed lady was so nasty. We had them cancel our order before they could start to cook anything. Her attitude in the first 15 min was so intense we didn’t have much hope for her rudeness getting any better. We are super easy to please and remained kind even when she was so incredibly hateful. Seeing as this is right off the highway and not fast food, it seemed very appealing. Unfortunately the hospitality was less than subpar. I do not recommend this place because the attitude there is not worth it. Wish I could speak on the food but obviously can’t since we didn’t even get to eat because we couldn’t get past how mean our server was/is.
