Sunset Grille is located at the SW corner of Marathon with views of the 7 mile bridge in the Florida Keys. We chose to dine outside and sat at the bar overlooking the bridge on the Altantic side. I ordered the shrimp tacos on a recommendation of the bar tender. They were served on a bed of refried beans and rice. The tacos had a nice kick to them, not for people who don’t like spice. The shrimp was cooked perfect. My wife had a yellow tail sandwich. The fillets were breaded and fried. Instead of one larger fillet there were 4 small fillets on the sandwich. She had fries as a side and they had the right amount of crisp. We didn’t order drinks as the least expensive drink on the menu was $18, welcome to Florida Keys prices. It’s a great location with a beautiful setting. If I could be more specific on the review they would get a 4.6. Nice work Sunset Grille, I’m sure I’ll be back.

My wife and I ate dinner and later a breakfast here. We enjoyed the view. The service was very attentive. I was not impressed with the conch fritters with the level of breading. The shrimp salad was good. The side of Brussel Sprouts were spot on with small tender ones versus larger hard ones. Breakfast was superb with me ordering a custom omelet and my wife a bowl. We would return again.

If you’re looking for amazing views, incredible seafood, and an energy that immediately puts you in a great mood — buckle up, because Sunset Grille & Raw Bar is about to become your new favorite spot! The food is casual comfort at its finest — generous portions of seriously good seafood, and if you haven’t tried their sushi, that alone is worth making the trip for. Our server was absolutely fantastic and made the whole experience feel like a night out with a friend who just happens to know everything on the menu. Now, a heads up — this place is wildly popular for a reason, so be prepared to wait, especially if you roll in on a Wednesday at 5pm like we did. Bottom line — this is a must for families and seafood lovers alike, just come early if waiting isn’t your thing, because trust us, you won’t want to miss this one!

We ate here twice this week during our stay. We went for happy hour Sunday. The music was a nice touch. The food was good. Our waitress seemed like she didn’t want to be bothered. We went for breakfast another day and that waitress was much better and very responsive. The breakfast foods were great. You can’t beat the views, especially at sunset!

We enjoyed appetizer of bacon wrapped scallops very much! We shared the Hogfish Oscar for dinner which was ok .. not the wow we were hoping for .. and vegies were barely warm.
Service was good to start with and we then felt forgotten. We had to ask another server if she could find our gal .. the other finally took our order as she couldn’t find her either. After a bit our original did come and apologize.. the manager wanted to have quick meeting .. I would hope in future, meetings are not on customers time.
While there around 4:30, it was not busy .. chilly so there were a number of heaters going which was nice! A group of 4 came in, guessing age late 60s, who were put at table that wasn’t by heater. They sat down and saw heater at table next to them that was set for table for 5 .. so they moved tables. Gal then told them they couldn’t sit there and moved them to side table which was next to outside wall of plastic but by heater. They said it was too cold by outside wall .. didn’t understand why they couldn’t siting middle so they left .. that was a loss of four customers and for what .. too bad for both the business and customer. Witnessing that made us decide to finish and leave before spending more. We planned on dessert, drink and sunset .. but decided no.
Overall ok .. nice surroundings.. ok food.. cost is high.

Right before getting on 7 mile bridge it’s always a great stop foods always delicious sushi is top-notch cocktails are wonderful. We always like to sit out by the pool. Our service is always been great. I will mention one small disappointment and it’s the first time we had ever ordered the Sushi, tuna handheld. It’s kind of like a burrito that’s in the shape of a funnel and for the price and the small amount of tuna that is in, it really is a rip off. This will not deter us from ever going back. We just will never order that again. Conquers never disappoint Me. The staff is top-notch and always joy to converse with. We look forward to seeing you again in the near future. Cheers.

There on an unusually cold day in the Keys but it was warm inside! The staff was super friendly and the “flaps” were down on the windows. There were even patio heaters sprinkled throughout the dining area making it very comfortable. Now on to the food and drinks….
The food was very good and the drinks even better. The wide variety means there is something for everybody. We had the Cheeseburger in Paradise and the Cuban sandwich with tropical slaw. We found the tropical slaw (with pineapple) to refreshing and not overbearing. The Cuban was well prepared and fresh, although I would have preferred the pork to be more moist. The Cheeseburger was great and cooked properly. We ordered it with fries that came out hot and crispy.

The Piña pineapple drink was delicious! Not overly sweet and just enough booze to remind you this is an adult beverage.

I can only imagine how vibrant and happening this place is in full season when it’s warm and people are enjoying the pool, outdoor music, Etc

Oh the the restrooms were very clean!

We came a little early and were able to get a table with a direct view of the sunset. I had the Cajun red snapper which was very spicy (the way I like it). It came with shrimp which was more tasty than the red snapper. The price and service was reasonable. I’m only sorry I did not discover this place earlier in my vacation because I would have come back.

Sunset Grille & Raw Bar absolutely lives up to its name. The location is right on the water with a fantastic view of the beach and the Seven Mile Bridge… because of that, the sunsets here are incredible. If you can, plan your visit around sunset…it’s worth it.

The food was excellent and the service matched it… friendly, attentive, and consistent. We were visiting from out of town on vacation and ended up coming back a couple of times because we enjoyed it so much, which says a lot.

Great atmosphere, great views, great food, and solid service. Easy recommendation and a must-stop if you’re in Marathon.

Sunset Grille has always been a staple in Marathon with the best restaurant sunset. I feel that over the years the food has gone down in quality but up in price. They do have fantastic appetizers, sushi, raw bar, and cocktails. The entrees are where I pass. They exceed in atmosphere with their dockside outdoor area. The phenomenal sunset and She Crab soup are what keeps us coming back. Service/food can be slow during peak times. If you want to go for sunset, I highly recommend going about an hour before sunset time to get a decent table. Unfortunately we did have to send back an item this time, my mom ordered the Volcano Snapper entree and it was filled with pin bones. The server was nice about it and did quickly substitute it, but it definitely dampens the experience and your appetite! Overall while not the best food in the area, it is the best atmosphere and we will be back!

*Note to management, if you read this. Having the hostess aggressively demand google reviews on the way out just puts a bad taste in your mouth. But she demanded one, so here it is. Hopefully you take the input you requested constructively. She stated “Hey you, yeah lady I’m talking to you. Get your phone out and scan this code. Give us a review if you think you have time.”
