Came for an evening around 5pm on a Saturday for dinner. Pizza was just alright and the wings were actually pretty good. What turned me off was the cleanliness of the establishment and the service. The walls have drips of soda all down them, the booths haven’t been pulled out in what seems like ages to clean beneath them. The owner seems a bit odd. She was eating (fine, no problem) at the bar. She came over and asked what we wanted to drink. When we ordered two glasses of water, we observed her return to the bar and take a seat where she enjoyed some more bites of her food and then began writing notes or something on a piece of paper. After about five minutes, she got up and got us our waters which felt a little weird. It’s water and we’re in direct eye shot of her so it would have been nice to receive the waters with a bit quicker of a pace. Alternatively, she kept staring at our toddler when she would walk over. Like, crouching down to look at her but saying nothing. Finally when she brought our pizza, which wasn’t long, our daughter was doing what toddlers do—being distracted and not eating. She’s learning how to eat at a restaurant and so, to quiet her for a few moments while we cleaned up and paid, we put on a video for her. This is where it got weirder. When she (the owner) noticed our toddler wasn’t eating, she asked, “Is she eating?” When I said “No” she seemed to take this as an insult or something because she just turned and walked away, and got us our check. When my wife left with our toddler who was getting a bit restless, to let her walk down the sidewalk outside, the owner sort of took her time taking another bite of her food, printed our check, then slowly walked back while staring at the tv and watching a scene from a movie or show, slowing her walk so she didn’t miss a particular part while I’m sitting, waiting to join my wife and daughter outside. For me, this experience was a miss and the chef and staff standing in the back of the empty restaurant, just staring at us eat because we were the only three patrons inside, was even more awkward than we could’ve ever imagined. The small pizza was more than small, it was tiny… and everything with it, odd. Mushrooms from a can. Unevenly distributed sauce. Breadsticks were better than the pizza. I’d get the wings again, maybe, but the truth is, we probably won’t be back to dine here. It needs a good cleaning from floor to ceiling and staff needs hospitality training sooner rather than later. The health inspector will be busy with this one day if you don’t get it taken care of. Yick.

Had the Chipotle chicken pizza and a build your own. The crust was perfect and the pizza was great. Also had the brownie with ice cream for dessert. I will definitely be back.

Great lil place to grab a delicious pizza. Thin and crispy and toppings galore! We had pineapple and pepperoni. Sandy was so nice, she took care of us and made us feel welcome. We will definitely go back for more! I highly recommend her.

I love supporting local small businesses and always try to buy from local family owned businesses when I can. I looked forward to trying this pizza even though the $30 price tag was a little daunting.

Unfortunately this was the worst pizza I have ever had. And not just bad, but it was terrible. I would’ve preferred a frozen oven-bake. We ordered a large pepperoni with double pepperoni. The crust was hard and chewy indicating the dough was likely left to rise for too long or sat in the fridge too long. There were parts of the pizza that were not sauced, yet the edge near the crust had large clumps of sauce. We ordered double pepperoni, paid for double pepperoni, yet the pizza had the same amount of pepperoni as their Google photos. The “garlic” breadsticks did not have any garlic on them and only a smidge of Parmesan. Our kids who typically love breadsticks each took a bite and didn’t want anymore.

We tried to stay positive and eat the pizza, but even the kids remarked that it was terrible despite our best efforts to be positive. I hope this company consider revamping how they cook their pizza, or perhaps we just caught them on a bad day.

New York style pizza. Very good pizza and tasty house salad. This place reminds me of a pizza place we visited in Dumbo, in New York City. Great atmosphere for a smallish place. Very enjoyable dinner out.

The Great Pizza Company specializes in New York style Pizza.
This is a compact pizzeria located in downtown Eustis. They feature thin-crust pies, pasta dishes & sandwiches, plus limited outdoor seating. They have been in business for 14 years (the owner boasts that; “we must be doing something right”).
From the moment we walked in on our second visit, we were greeted with a warm and friendly service. The décor is quirky and inviting. We immediately felt comfortable.
I love that the menu is quite small and uncomplicated.
Their dough is made fresh with New York Water, and use premium Italian cheeses and gourmet toppings you can’t find anywhere else. Here you can build your own New York Pizza that can be ordered in (3) different sizes; small (8″), medium (12″), and large (16″).
Their thin crust pizza is the best I’ve ever had, they also uses a low fat cheese and low sodium pepperoni.
The pizzas we had were awesome and the service was impeccable. We will definitely return in the future! (I love leftover pizza)!
The Great Pizza Company is open 7 days a week; Monday – Saturday 11AM – 9PM, Sunday 1PM – 8PM and are located at 23 East Magnolia Ave. Eustis, Florida

Really good thin crust pizza. We ordered a large pepperoni and a medium Thai Chicken pizza. The Thai Chicken has a very thin crisp crust (thinner than the pepperoni) that complimented the toppings well. The pepperoni had a good sauce to cheese to crust ratio. Both came out hot and well prepared. The service was friendly and attentive. The building is a bit older but clean enough and has great character. We will be back.

The best thin crust pizza was perfectly made; and our toppings were pepperoni and pineapple with an amazing strawberry banana ice cream in a waffle cone

The pizza is average at best. There is much better in the area. The sauce and cheese were tasty, the pepperoni was skimpy and the crust was chewy. All of this is just my opinion.

This is the type of place you only see in movies. A gem…The pizza is delicious, especially if you love the New York style of pizza and the owner Sandy is amazing. She started this pizza co. and was the only thin crust in Lake county at the time. She greets you and even serves you at the table. We just moved to town and couldn’t be more excited to have this in our backyard.
