The “boiled two things” dish looked incredibly unauthentic, like someone had eaten some leftovers and then diluted it with water before serving it back to me. It didn’t feel like fresh food at all. I keep coming back to Red Chili House Chinese restaurant since I relocated to Rancho Cucamonga three years ago. It is my default Chinese restaurant for good reason. The food was so tasty and fresh. I ordered the veggie chow mein, orange chicken and walnut shrimp. Because this was over $40 we were given custard buns for free. All of it was so good. It was hard to put my chopsticks down. My cousin and I still have a pile of leftovers too. Very generous portions. The only reason I have 3 stars for the “atmosphere” is that it had rickety scaffolding outside the front door, that I about walked right into, and the decor on the inside was really dated and kind of run down. It was kept clean but very worn down.

We tried the Tea Smoke Crispy Duck today. It’s very good with smoky flavor, the right amount of saltines and meat is very tender. Highly recommend.

Authentic Chinese restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga! To our surprise that we found a strip mall with real Chinese food and Ranch 99 Market. I really like this restaurant offer to cook to your taste with less oil, less salt, less MSG etc. The eggplant was very flavorful, the broccoli was cooked perfectly and the braised beef in noodle soup was tender and tasty. The dumplings could have been pan fried more crispy. Will come again if we are in the area.
