I have been here twice now and both times this place was packed yet my party and I were seated quickly and our drinks and order taken in a very reasonable amount of time. The portion sizes are phenomenal for the price you pay for a lot of their meals. The burrito tapatio is massive, I can only eat half in one sitting. My friend got beef fajitas and the meat was delivered to the table still in a cast iron pan still sizzling with a heat pad around the handle and a wooden tray under it. It was neat, and there was enough there to feed two people easily. The waitress was great and was very friendly! When you are first seated you are given authentic tortillas with salsa. I will be back for sure!

Me and my husband were visiting from out of town. The salsa wasn’t very good, kind of tasted like ketchup. The atmosphere wasn’t very pleasant to look at. (The seats were ripped, trash on the floor ect) The waitress wasn’t rude but wasn’t very friendly either.

We have had El Tapatio many times and each meal was fantastic. Both dine in and takeout, we had great food, ample portions, great service and really good prices. Truly the best tacos in Monticello!

Low prices, big portions, great food. Parking is limited in the front but there is parking hidden in the back of the restaurant. Very friendly staff. 5/5

We go here quite often, and this place never disappoints. The chips are hot, fresh, and crispy. Dipping it in the salsa makes it so delicious. The servers always check up on us, refill our water, and give us more chips. I always get the shrimp and rice, and I am full WITH leftovers. The portion size here is amazing for the price. Their beans and rice are also great, and so yummy to dip chips in. My family and I loves this place, and we always have good experiences here.

Had a great lunch at El Tapatio today. Every single thing was delicious. Giant bowl of guacamole for $5. He got arroz con pollo. I had a chicken chimichanga. Both were incredibly filling and tasty. Our server was friendly and fast. Will be back for certain. Food with flavor!

My favorite Mexican food place by FAR. The staff is always so nice and so welcoming. I have never had a complaint about their food. They are also fairly priced compared to many other Mexican restaurants near. (They also remember my order before I even finish saying it)
