Straight-up, low-key eatery for sushi plus Japanese basics like tempura, teriyaki, udon & katsu.

The service and their rolls were fire! But I’ll be honest—I don’t really recommend the ramen here. I’ve been to many ramen spots, and the broth tasted more like instant noodles. Don’t get me wrong, everything other than the ramen was amazing. Their rolls were sooo good! I’ll definitely be back for other dishes, just not the ramen. Plus, the service and atmosphere were great, and I loved their exterior!

Sushi here is really good. Sushi rice is actually well seasoned which is super rare around here. Rice on my tekka don was a little cold, prefer warmer. Never got miso that came with it, which was a little disappointing but we got 4 appetizers which were all good. Gyoza were super good. Fried oysters plump. Edamame was hot and fresh. Ordered 2 hot teas which were waaaaaaaay too strong, whoever put the powder over did it by a country mile. Would totally come back. They lost one star for charging 2 bucks a cup for green tea, super petty move. Service was good. Host had lots of personality which is always appreciated.

You can smell the Blue king crab roll from a mile away.. it’s all “zankha” iykyk..
told the waitress and her reaction was “well, you ordered it” like yes we ordered it and it’s bad. You don’t tell us “too bad”
Yeah what’s bad is your hospitality and that you work there.

The wait for less than 5 minutes. The service was spot on, super helpful, explained what the different sushi rolls were, the chefs took the time to talk about my likes, dislikes, and food sensitivities.

Everything was delicious, starting with the tea, the appetizer to the dessert. The excellent attention and atmosphere. They have a beer with a unique flavor !! I highly recommend shrimp dumplings and sea urchins

No matter when you order for takeout, this restaurant is incapable of preparing your food on time. You’ll place an order, and it will take over an hour to prepare. Upon arrival, you’ll be turned away 15-20 minutes. This has happened probably ten times at this point. No respect for their customers. It doesn’t take two hours to prepare 4-6 sushi rolls. I’ve let this slide more times than I can count but it’s just unacceptable at this point.

Extremely fresh seafood with a unique beer!! Fairly priced. Besides the restroom, a very pleasant boutique restaurant with an extensive menu.

The best.
We visit often sushi places all over New York City and State as we travel quite a bit.
This sushi restaurant is one of the best we have ever encountered. Absolutely Number one quality sushi. Loose rice. Not this hard compact kind you so often are precented with.
Excellent fresh fish, beautifully prepared and served. Service is # 1. Don’t have to wait forever on the food, polite and very friendly. Could not have been more perfect. We love this restaurant. Can only highly recommend this place…
Bravo.

The name of Dai sushi reminded me Famous Sushi Dai at Tsukiji. It’s, of course, not the same but still worth your visit and would not disappoint your taste buds…. The dining environment is good. The fish was basically fresh and well prepared. The quantity for my lunch order was also generous… I can see that it attracts a lot of local customers…. It seems to have seats on the second floor. I would surely come back to try some other orders…..

I have to say, just finished a little while ago, and with no reservations, that I had an absolutely wonderful time visiting Dai Sushi!
I need to share that it was an “experience”, more than just a meal. It wasn’t about food, but the taste buds experiencing sushi in a way, that I can say, brought nothing but smiles to my face!
Exquisite Sushi!
Loved it, and I cannot wait to return! 🙂 Service was excellent as well… Not to be 2nd best, but I cannot remember ever having a better sitting, experiencing sushi before. You wouldn’t be sorry to stop by! As a matter of fact, I’d say you’d be sorry not to 😉
Looking forward to my next visit! Hopefully very soon.
