I recently visited Taj Palace in Chesterfield for their lunch specials, and I was pleasantly surprised! They are offering lunch specials from 11:30
AM to 2:30 PM, which is perfect for a midday meal.
I had the chicken tikka masala, naan, and soup — everything was absolutely amazing. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the food was fresh and perfectly prepared. The portion sizes were great, and the quality exceeded my expectations.
The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. It’s a fantastic spot for lunch in Chesterfield. I will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!

What a splendid dinner!
Started with a double Willet. Priced reasonably and served with a giant ice cube in a substantial glass. Good pour!
Next up was the Special Pappadi Chaat. Think Indian nachos. Big pile of beautifully diced fresh vegetables, a couple of different sauces and a cilantro preparation we need to learn to make at home. Perfect first bites confirmed we were going to have a great meal.
Wife picked the Malai Kofta and I snagged a couple of bites. Big, complex sauce over the stuffed things. Really, really tasty!
I chose the 1/2 Tandoori Chicken for my entree. Loved the bird’s flavor but (like most Tandoori chicken I’ve been served) was a bit dry. Fortunately, they included a sauce chaser with the meal. The Kingfisher I had with the entree arrived with a big, heavy, frozen mug. Love it!
There was a wonderful garlic naan and some Gulab for dessert. All in all, a fantastic meal!

Had my birthday dinner with family at Taj Palace tonight. It was the first time visiting for several of us, but we came on recommendation of a few others. It did not disappoint! I had chicken biryani and my husband had mushroom chicken. I have more than enough food for lunch tomorrow. We also had the rice pudding for dessert and it was a perfect palate cleanser to end the meal. Service was a smidge slow, but everyone was very kind. The restaurant was completely full and had two largers parties (ours and one other) so not going to fault them for the speed. We had made reservations ahead of time so no issues getting seated quickly.

We got this delivered through Door Dash. I placed the order for a future delivery about an hour before we wanted it and it arrived right on time and still very hot! The main dishes and rice were filled to the very top as you can see in the pictures. Everything was amazing and we now have leftovers for a couple more meals. Yum!!!

I ordered a mango lassie, Navratan Korma, a side of plain naan and a side of vegetable pakora. The mango lassie was excellent. I loved the Navratan Korma. The naan bread was fresh and had an excellent texture. The veggie pakora was ok.
Price was very reasonable for a main dish and two sides! Will be back.

This was a great find on a road trip, and a definite recommend! We were seated immediately, and the service from then on was just as pleasant! The food was delivered fast, and the flavors authentic.
It got pretty full, so, it’s probably popular with the locals too!

Amazing Indian food! We decided to try a different Indian restaurant other than our favorite place in STL. The bar was incredibly high, and we were blown away. The chicken korma was so flavorful and just the right amount of spice. I thought the chicken curry was some of the best I’ve ever had. They also won major points with our family for their naan. It was somehow perfectly crispy and chewy at the same time. We will absolutely be back. This place is a must!

I’m trying to find a good “go to “ Indian restaurant. This was my first time dining at Taj Palace. We arrived right at opening around 3:30pm and had the restaurant to ourselves. The restaurant appears to have a luxury feel with soft music and table cloth but the service is just basic. The servicer was nice but we had to ask him 3 times for my drink and a to-go bag as we were leaving. The older gentleman was more welcoming, IJS. I ordered the butter chicken and my son got the Curry Goat. The butter chicken was creamy tender & seasoned just right with the rice. I only had a small piece of the curry goat but it was tender and good. The Vegetable pakora (appetizers) came with a green minty/vinegar or slightly sour / minty sauce & a brown sweet sauce. Both sauces were delicious but I preferred the sweet one. The vegetable pakora kind of taste like potatoes with a crispy fried batter. My son had the Glazed Chicken Wings ( appetizer) he picked spice level, extra spicy. I only tasted the sauce because I don’t eat spicy food. The flavor was good but I only had a very small taste. The rice was fluffy and good nothing special. The portions size is nice in my opinion.

Taj palace consistently delivers quality indian cuisine, utilizing fresh ingredients! Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Definitely number one indian restaurant in the stl area. Other Restaurants nearby have served old food and mask it with cream salt and sugar. Taj palace has always been a scratch kitchen and has never skimped on quality!

I normally love this place. I ordered from Grubhub a couple of times and noticed some things. They send very little rice with an entree, the chicken curry had more vegetables than chicken, and they do not include chutneys like most Indian restaurants do.
