Laos House is beyond crazy good fusion food. Every dish we’ve tried has been packed full of flavor —you can tell they don’t skimp on ingredients. The steak bowl is a exceptional: tender, perfectly seasoned, and layered with bold flavors that make every bite satisfying. The “lao-rito” is simply a genius creation—just the right amount of crunch, spice, and savory steak, all wrapped up in one truly unforgettable bite. And don’t even get me started on the loaded fries—they were straight-up FIRE.
Portions are very generous, they can easily stretch into leftovers (a rare treat for the price these days). My kids absolutely love it there; it’s become their go-to spot. Every time we’ve visited, the food has been consistently fantastic, fresh, and worth every minute of the wait. The staff is super friendly!!

If you haven’t tried Laos House yet, you’re missing out on one of KC’s best hidden gems. Highly recommend!

Whose house?! Loas house!! This is my top favorite spot, where I consistently rise to the challenge of finishing my Lao-Rito! (chicken and shrimp mix is my go-to preference) It’s huge enough to share! The presentation of the load fries is truly uplifting, making every bite feel like a celebration! If you’re lucky, you might get a sneak peek taste of his crab ragon balls! Thanks always for the warm hospitality and mouth-watering food Chief Kay Pee & V!!

This place does not disappoint!! The lao-rito is a must, rice-bowl is great on the go, and all the snacks are fire. The parlor has a lot of options but you have to give this place a chance. And make sure to say hi to Kay Pee and his team! They’re good people <3

Unless you want a jaw workout, stay away. The meat was so tough I couldn’t even bite through it. Poor quality and zero stars for the food

Look, I appreciate really good food. I especially like when I order a steak rice bowl and I watch a whole Ribeye get pulled out.

The food is absolutely delicious here. I love the flavors of the different protein options, I love the aioli they put on top of the dish, and I especially love their hot sauce.

If you’re looking for an Asian option, this is a clear 10/10 option.

I forget to mention that I eat here at least 2 times a week as you can eat here for under $20.

If you’re looking for some Laotian flavors & fusion, definitely check out The Laos House at Parlor in Downtown KC.
Myself, I gravitate to their Rice Bowl or Laos-Rito (I do love me a burrito!). and in both cases I usually add shrimp. But their steak option is also fire!

But no joke, if you’re Downtown and wanting some tasty bites, I’d definitely stop in.

This food is absolutely worth the wait. Every bite is packed with flavor. The chicken is cooked to perfection, and the mac on the side is just as tasty. Also the spicy sauce if you like a kick to it. Everything pairs together beautifully great job, Lao House.

Wow. Is all I can say. I ordered the loaded fries and hubby ordered the cheesesteak on listen if you have never visited Laos house at the Iron district. Absolutely amazing. The flavor is hitting on every level. More then enough I couldn’t even finish the fries in one setting. Hubby enjoyed every bite of his cheesesteak especially the spice level. It was perfect. The service was also awesome as well. They were so nice and answered all our questions since it was our first time. Especially with me being GF. Definitely recommend visiting . And I will definitely will be back.

After seeing a picture of the Laos House food online, I knew I had to run and go try it. It just so happen this week, they brought back the cheesesteak! Chef KP does not miss any attention to flavor as every bite was just as flavorful as the next. The meat is seasoned perfectly, bread was super fresh, and the sauces + toppings tied it all together harmoniously.

Fries were seasoned with just the right amount as all the flavor was still there without the overwhelming saltiness a lot of places do.

You get what you pay for and trust me, the portion, flavor and service is all well entirely worth it.

I will be back!
