This past weekend, a group of five of us had a fantastic meal at the waterfront restaurant. Our service was exceptional about our team members, but our server Kaya, was especially wonderful. we all started our meals with beverages. I personally had the pea’s knees mocktail, and it was really good. Not too sweet and really very satisfying .One of the specials (salmon) that was the appetizer was so good, as were the other appetizers and salad (The Burrata salad is what we had and it was very good). We all ordered the exact same meal, which was their current pasta on the menu. It was an herbaceous pappardelle pasta with a lemon whipped feta. It was by far the best pasta dish. I’ve had a restaurant in years. The pasta was perfectly made. The sauce delicious in the whipped feta, just elevated it even more. We also indulged with dessert and again had one of the best crème brûlée I’ve ever had (I am not a crème brûlée fan) And a slice of the carrot cake which had some hints of brown butter in it it was just divine. Be sure to go outside and take a look at the water. If you’re not at a waterfront table, the sunset is stunning. Be sure to make a reservation however they do take walk-ins if there’s availability. Don’t miss a chance to dine in here! It was absolutely wonderful.

Wow – blown away by this place. First of all, came in off the street – the hostess was so sweet and was able to seat us right away despite having a larger group. We were seated with a nice view and our waitress was so so nice, she told us all the specials and talked us into some oyster shots – which were surprisingly outstanding. The drink I got was using a pea infused vodka which was unusually refreshing and I mean, look at that presentation For the food, whitefish dip was also unusually good. The best thing was the steak with potatoes and carrots. The other star of the show was the sweet potato. I had high hopes for the pasta but unfortunately was a little let down , I liked other things more than this entree.
Overall, I was to come back to this place I liked it so much. Ambiance, food and service all on point.

The only issue was we were celebrating a birthday and we were sat by the patio door where allot of traffic in and out. Hard to enjoy the entire celebration. Too away from the moment

The food, service and view were spectacular!
Everything here will surpass expectations. Our server could not have been nicer. The desserts, solid and liquid were blissful.
After dinner we were encouraged to stroll the lake or enjoy a drink while watching the sunset at their outdoor seating or indoor bar.

Lovely restaurant with good service and delicious food, including some gluten-free options. The location by the harbor is beautiful, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting with dimmed lighting, linen table settings, fresh flowers, and candles on every table. We visited for a family dinner to celebrate my mother’s 64th birthday, and it was a good experience for the entire family including our 3 year old.

My wife and I stopped by here on a whim tonight and from the moment we walked in the door we knew we made the right decision to stop. The service was great, the food was amazing and the views of the harbor at sunset just added that much more to the experience.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone and this might become our go to place for future Door County visits

Beautiful spot right on the water with amazing sunset views . The food was delicious, service friendly, and the atmosphere relaxing but upscale. Definitely one of the nice dinner spots in Sister Bay—worth making a reservation!

We enjoyed our dinner on a recent visit. We’d booked online in advance – something I appreciate. Whether it was luck of the draw or our online booking, we got a great table with views out to the lake.
We started with some Calamari with fried zucchini. I could quibble and say we might have preferred a bit more of the fried zucchini but it was an otherwise tasty dish and the sauces with were good.
Thumbs up on the Garden Gimlet cocktail. And the wine list was good. We chose an easy to quaff Barbera.
Our mains included both the local whitefish and some halibut. Both quite tasty.

We had dinner at The Waterfront in Sister Bay, and everything was phenomenal from start to finish. I ordered the grilled tenderloin with Yukon mashed potatoes (which had these delicious little crispy potato bits mixed in!) and heirloom carrots — and oh my goodness, it was perfection.
My husband always jokes that I never clean my plate, but tonight I proudly joined the Clean Plate Club! Every bite was worth it.
And then came dessert… the crème brûlée. I’ve had crème brûlée all over — and this was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly creamy with a light, crunchy caramelized top — just phenomenal.
The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, the service was spot-on, and the view over the water made the whole evening feel extra special. Highly recommend — one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time!

Wow, Waterfront Restaurant was such a pleasant surprise! So many restaurants in Door County have undeserved higher reviews, but Waterfront Restaurant’s ratings are well deserved! We came with my husband and two friends on our most recent trip to Door County. When we travel, food is a HUGE part of our travel experience and we seek out the best of the best. Our server was attentive. We started with the lamb chops which were some of the best lamb we’ve ever had! The boys wanted the oyster shooters, which were so good they ordered another round! We all got fish dishes and the each of our filets were cooked to absolute perfection! It was easy to secure a reservation through their website, which helped put some ease on the night. My only critique was that the place was so dark and the menu’s font was super tiny. I forgot my glasses so I was forced to rely on my husband’s recommendation for what I should order. Overall we were thrilled with our dinner and experience!
