Simple southern food. It was alright. My chicken wasn’t tough and the gravy was pretty good. The sweet potato casserole was cold though and the fried ocra didn’t do it for me. The thing I did enjoy was that you got to circle what you wanted on the menu. I thought that added some prowess to the atmosphere. Don’t know if I would return though.

We have stopped at The Avenue numerous times during our travels and always had a great experience, until today. Tuesday after 1:10, so they were not overly busy, but we did notice the owners were nowhere in sight. Not sure if our tickets got “lost” or what but after waiting 20 minutes, and seeing numerous tables seated after us get their orders, we paid for our tea, that we had about 5 swallows of, and left. One would think the tea would have been offered as free for our troubles or at least in a go cup. Two waitresses were “taking care of us” and neither seemed to have a clue what was going on/where our order was. Won’t be stopping again for a loooong time.

First time eating at the Avenue.
Table was not cleaned prior to being seated.
My food was rancid.
The waitress and the guest with me smelled food and agreed….
Waitress was very sorry. Not her fault at all.

Best place in the Cedartown/ Rockmart area to eat if you love great home cooked type meals.
Just like mom use to make on Sundays for lunch after church.
But what I love more about this place is Christian atmosphere they show.
They treat you like you are family.
Then to top it off……….
Their fried chicken breast are the greatest.
You don’t know what you are missing if you haven’t ate there.
The wait time is not bad either.
On a 1 to 10 scale with 10 being the best, I give them an 11.
