This is hands down my favorite ice cream spot at the beach! They have a huge variety of flavors and a ton of toppings to choose from. My family can’t get enough of the Hot Fudge Sundae. It’s amazing! Everything is homemade, which makes it all the more special. You have to try the ice cream cake, milkshakes, and ice cream sandwiches too. The staff is always super friendly, and even though there’s usually a line (because it’s that good!), it moves quickly. Totally worth the wait every time!

Long line, so be prepared. They are very organized with servers outside to take your order while you’re waiting to go inside. Once in the building, they’ll call out your name when the order is ready. They keep the line moving.

My favorite local ice cream spot for well over a decade now. One of the few places in OC where tourists flock to that is actually worth the hype. Everything is homemade and delicious. Nothing beats their hot fudge! They’re super organized so even if you see a crazy long line in the summer, you won’t be waiting very long. Highly recommend A La Mode if you’re looking for a treat!

What a great place! Staff was very nice. There was plenty of in store seating. Lots of delicious flavors to choose from. I had a Brown Derby (banana split) with coffee, mint chocolate chip & vanilla ice cream. My son had an FBI (Fudge brownie ice cream sundae) with chocolate chocolate chip ice cream. The portions were generous. Worth the trip.

Best ice cream in OCNJ hands down. There can often be long lines so plan accordingly. They always have all sorts of specials and combinations so you might have to try them several times while visiting OCNJ! Limited seating inside that gets filled up quickly when they are busy. Nothing fancy as far as seating, etc. just great ice cream!!

Wow, this is the real deal. I had a homemade gluten free waffle cone with amazing dairy free ice cream. It was the first time in years that I could eat an ice cream cone with my family instead of just watching and wishing! As an added bonus, the staff were super friendly! ❤️

We’ve been coming to a la mode for almost 10 years now, and it always delivers! This year, my younger daughter celebrated her birthday in OC, so my wife got her a birthday cake from a la mode. A super tasting cake, and beautiful decoration. Thank you owners and staff, you really outdid yourselves!
