Mecate is my go to place in Henrietta for Mexican food. I love that they have an outdoor patio for when the weather is nice. They have great chips and queso (a must for me) and a great spicy margarita. I love their flautas, that’s usually my go to when I’m there.

We stopped by here with our friends to try it out. We weren’t disappointed! Carlos, our server, did an excellent job making sure we were well taken care of. Starting with our before meal warm tortilla chips and salsa, throughout our whole meal, Carlos did a great job! Our food came out fairly quick, on warmed plates and all of our food was ¡excelente! Great job to everyone involved! I think you should give them a try, I know we’ll be coming back!

2nd time being here. Birria was on point, again. Friendly service, drinks were really good, both the wife and I got the Paloma and one of our daughters got the jalapeño something or the other and it was really good. Will be back again when we pick our soon to be daughter in law up from college for next break. Worth it and honestly priced.

The food taste was great, the ambience was soothing. We ordered fried ice cream and thought we could get just one small scoop but indeed we got a really big scoop and easily 2-3 people could dig in! Overall it was really great experiece and we will definitely visit this place again!

Best Mexican restaurant in Rochester! This is by far the best Mexican restaurant around. We’ve tried many and nothing compares to Mecate! We’ve dined in and ordered take out a few times and every time it’s been absolutely delicious! The steak & chicken fajitas are our favorite! The drinks and desserts are just as good! The portion sizes and prices are very good. Service has always been great! We can’t recommend this place enough!

I’m from Arizona and in Arizona it would be a 1 start but for New York it’s one of the best I have had. They call it salsa but it’s really “hot” sauce. Ground beef and steak was over cooked and dry. Tacos where the best part.

A coworker and his wife surprised me on my Birthday with take out from Mecate. The enchiladas were EXCELLENT, the best I’ve ever had. And the home made tortilla chips were also amazing. I will definitely go back.
