Maguey’s was the place to be back in my days. And it’s still the place to be today. I believe Maguey’s upgraded their business over the years and I love the atmosphere still. It’s a pleasure being there hearing the rare soul oldies and mingling with peeps your age. Always will be my favorite place to be on the weekends.

It was very quiet when I walked in, I blame that on being 2pm on a Tuesday, and it took a while to get someone out to help me but they are all very friendly.
None of the beers on tap were available, which is a bummer, but they had four bottled options.
$2.50 bud light on Tuesday if that’s your beer (it wasn’t mine so I can’t say I took advantage of it)
Pool table has probably seen better days lol but it works for the most part.
It’s also $1.50, compared to the $1 that most other tables are.
Regardless of all it’s quirks, I don’t mind it.
Update: They only accept cash. ATM fee is $3
Bear that in mind when stopping.
I subsequently found out that the toilet had a pen holding the seat onto it and I truly just had to get out of there at that point. Lol
So, I think the staff was amazing but whoever owns it sure as hell isn’t taking care of it.

Brittany is the best bartender, the most charismatic, personable person ever, such friendly and attentive service with a smile, a perfect new addition to Magueys, I will definitely be back to visit her and enjoy the good crowd and live DJ. With $3.50 Bud Lights how can you go wrong.

It’s a dive bar and that is not a bad thing. There is enough TVs everyone can see whatever is playing. The drinks are reasonably priced and the bartenders are friendly.
