What more can we say? Other than this restaurant is above a 5 star rating! We are from another state and have eaten in many different states in our travels. The waitress we had was spot on in her service to us. She knew when to come over and was super personable, helpful and funny! This restaurant has the best tasting, most fresh food we have ever had anywhere. We had hamburgers and fries for dinner. The fries and burgers were scrumptious , fresh tasting, and the temperature was perfect! The breakfast we had the next day was the same, cooked to perfection! We asked to have the cook come out so we could give her a tip as they don’t get any unless you specify to have a tip given to them in cash. She came out and she was so sweet we got to hug her, twice :-). We asked her to come home with us, but I guess she likes it here. Don’t miss this place, it is the best place in the U.S. for food, service and prices! We love Joe’s Cafe & Donuts & King Cakes on 2691 Barataria Blvd., Marrero, LA 70072. The shrimp & grits & fried pickles was Fantastic! The waitress was nice & attentive, the place clean,& the table next to us was friendly. Joe’s was semi crowded. & My daughter & niece flew in from Hawaii five of us wanted to eat @ Joe’s.We had a Good time ! We definitely will go there again! ❤️ ❤️

I tasted my first ever Hot Sausage Poor Boy and “Donut Drop” and Cinnamon Sugar Beneit!!! Wow!!! All were extremely tasty. This place leaves you wanting to try just about everything on the menu. Definitely will make this a regular stop when visiting my people.

Stumbled upon this little gem while heading to another activity. It’s a local chain serving home cooked like meals. We were here for brunch, and I have to say it was one of the best breakfast meals I have ever eaten. The grits were creamy and done perfectly, and the fried biscuit was melt in your mouth delicious. The service was impeccable, and the staff were happy, smiling, and genuine. Can’t wait to return.

Stopped by today to get some breakfast with my family. We waiting 15 minutes just to order. The server Mary Ann was so caught up with her regulars she ignored every person walking into the restaurant. The poor guy working the drive through window is running like a chicken with his head come off. Here’s when things really turned. A group of (2) decided to sit at the bar. And as the line continued to go to the door Mary Ann stopped talking to her regulars and went to greet and wait on these people. Now we’ve been waiting at this point for 10 minutes and someone who just walks into get service. Ridiculous. Needless to say we finally order. Waited 35 minutes for the food. I go to ask how much longer they said it’ll be right out. Mary Ann brings the food in Togo boxes to the counter as we’re sitting to dine in. We took the food and left. Get home and the order wasn’t correct. Just a terrible overall experience and not sure if Mary Ann doesn’t like people of color but she’s this way EVERYTIME I come here. When will this world change. She walks like she owns the place and have some of the worse service. Attitude, terrible facial expressions and always complaining about someone who works there! Do better Mary Ann!!!!

Just spent $32 on two Roastbeef po-boys. It had barely any meat it and it was an almost dry sandwich even though I asked for gravy on them and waited 30min. for this very overly priced minimal sandwiches. Do better or just take this off the menue.

Ordered hot latte. Well drove away and my coffee was 100% cold, tinge of warm. Didn’t feel like driving back around. Just make sure the coffee pot is on!

MY COMMENT & PICTURES WERE DELETED! How RUDE! I will re-comment what I experienced! I went to get two orders of glazed beignets & it was burnt! I asked the co-worker(Barbara) can it be recooked or refund. I was told the cook don’t want to recook & the manager just left so I can’t get a refund. Poor customer service!
