I came here with low expectations. My car was getting its breaks done and I was hungry and walked to this location. When I arrived I asked for the menu and asked to be place far from everyone since I was working. They accommodated me and I was able to order. Dianelys took care of me and was very nice and helpful. The food was so good. I was not expecting it to be this good to the point that I’m trying to figure out how to come more often since this is out of the way for me and I’m only around for my car! I definitely want to come try other dishes! It is BBB- bueno, bonito y barato. I ordered more rice ( which I barely eat) and some plantains to go to eat later. They add garlic to the rice giving it an amazing flavor!

Unfortunately, this restaurant is not what it used to be and what was for so many years. It had the best Cuban food in Miami. It was an understated cafeteria-like… but with the most delicious Cuban food.
The new ownership came in, made the restaurant a lot prettier but unfortunately dropped the ball on food quality; and at the end of the day, it was food that made this place great.
I hope they get their act together.

I love the quality of the food and the service at Tropic Grill. Server Luz is always very friendly and helpful in recommending new food. We usually order a club sandwich for brunch and cafe con Leche and empanadas for breakfast. My favorite chicken cordon blue, small red bean and rice, Arroz imperial, sopa Malanga..everything is good
