We got a coupon in the mail to go eat here. We only had the choice of cheese enchiladas and flautas. We’ll we tried both and they was delicious. I didn’t really care much for the chips and salsa, it needed more spice and maybe salt. The restaurant was clean, welcoming and nice on the inside for it being an old Dairy Queen. Our server had black curly hair and was extremely nice. Our food came out really fast and was hot. We got the sopapillas and they was delicious. We tried a margarita as well but I can’t remember the name. The Sweet tea tasted fresh and delicious. Over all we was very satisfied with the taste of the food, the service and cleanliness of the restaurant. We will definitely go back!

Went here for my birthday with Co workers, it was fabulous! Great service, great food and very good drinks. The prices were reasonable also. Definitely want to go back. In the group we ordered both breakfast and lunch.

Very good service, and the food was good as well. Their menu is really big and it was hard to choose, but I got the fish tacos and I loved them! The atmosphere was a little strange I’ll admit. They were playing country music and I found that kind of funny. The food and friendly staff made it worth it. I’ll definitely be back!

We’ve come here a few times now. The food, drinks, and service have been great! Come during happy hour for $4.99 margaritas and half price nachos. It may not have been good when they first opened, but it’s all good now! Come give them a try!

WOW !! Great food Great service! Tuesday they have tacos and margaritas deals. Full bar and I could eat the puffy tacos 2 a week. There is a 51% sign posted on the wall as soon as you walk in.

Being from San Antonio, I was so excited to finally have one near me. Let me tell you, I ordered 4 tacos and they were the worst!!!!! Old tortillas, super greasy and soggy puffy taco, and my norteño taco had missing ingredients. Steer clear if you’re looking for the same San Antonio quality. Ron Acosta would be very disappointed on the quality served at this location!

I have never stopped here to eat but today I turned in last minute and boy am I glad I did.
The beans are amazing and it has been far to long since I found a place that made a sour cream chicken enchilada worth eating. I was very surprised how good this meal was by the look of the building.
The staff was also very fast and friendly. I will definitely have to return here again soon.

Save your time, money and lower your expectations on the quality of the food.
You’re better off going to Taco Casa, Taco Bell or Taco Bueno.
If this place last 9 months I’d be surprised.
As far as the people giving reviews of 3+ stars, they don’t know what really good Tex-Mex or Mexican food taste like from places that charge the same prices as Las Palapas.
I’m 99.999% sure all the food is from a can or bag, etc. Nothing is authentic. The meat was extremely tough on the asada taco plate. The carne guisada was extremely salty. The tortillas weren’t completely cooked. The salsa and chips were marginal at best. The list goes on and on, and I’m glad I didn’t pay for it.
Just go to Jalapeños Taqueria down the road, very limited seating so “to-go” is your best option, and give me a thumbs up as a thank you.

My favorite Mexican Food from San Antonio is now right down the street! Amazing enchiladas, Puffy Tacos and of course Mama Ruth’s Flauta Special!! Great food and prices! Danny was great server, too! I’ll twist him next time I come in… my iced tea was always full! Check them out!

Wonderful staff, very friendly and so welcoming! Great food and margaritas! My favorite lunch is the shrimp stuffed avocado. You must try this place!!! My husband and I stopped in for a margarita and got some great food to take home tonight.
