It was a lovely place with a beautiful view, and a high-quality guilt-free menu, I got to try almost all of their signature dishes.
The highlights were the Wholesome Bowl, and the coconut smoothie .
Leo, the cashier, was helpful and patient, and helped us a lot in deciding what to order.
We also tried different açaí bowls, just like the ones shown in their videos.

One of my favorite lunch/breakfast spots in Laguna. Great view of ocean sitting on the patio. The frozen yogurt and shakes are wonderful if you’re looking for a sweet treat on a sunny tree. Their food is amazing!! Gluten free options for most things and their bread if very good.

Hate leaving a negative review but I’m still so shocked by how awful the service was here. I ordered one shake, left a tip, and began to wait for my order. 10, 20, 30 mins go by and dozens of orders taken after mine were fulfilled but mine still wasn’t ready. I walked back up to the counter and asked about my order. The woman sort of looked around and checked the screen and then asked another coworker to make my shake. She looked me in my face and told me they’re going to make it right away and then I watched as the woman making drinks started on yet another order. I waited 5 more mins and watched as my shake still wasn’t being prepared and finally I just asked for a refund. The employees whispered among themselves and looked at me like I was crazy (I was chill and polite throughout all of this btw lol) and then after the refund was processed I never got a receipt and the woman told me to call in 24 hours if it doesn’t go through. How bizarre. The place was absolutely filthy and the shake was $16 w the tip so maybe it was for the best. I’ll definitely be avoiding this business going forward.

I love everything on the menu at Active Culture. It’s all delicious and healthy, but my go-to is the Wholesome Bowl. I could eat it daily! The team here is young and friendly, and the self-serve frozen yogurt is a nice treat.

Delicious savory bowls. Vegan options. Two vegan frozen yogurts and a sorbet. Nice outdoor chill vibe where you can see the ocean across the way. Friendly staff!

I first came here when I was 17 and I’m now 25. The Wholesome Bowl and the sauce is something I recreate as I no longer live in Orange County. I try to make my way to Laguna, and Active Culture every time I visit California again.
An absolute must for visiting Laguna, and if you’re a local, why haven’t you been here yet?
Perfect frozen yogurt, a great PCH view, and healthy food.

We were visiting Laguna Beach and so fortunately discovered Active Culture restaurant on our first day. We then went the next two days too. The employees were all super nice and very accommodating and helpful. Some of the delicious food we had were the vegan chili, avocado toast, hummus wrap, the quinoa lentil bowl and the Thalia bowl. I brought leftovers home to LA and my son wants to know where the closest Active Culture is to us, he loved the meal. Will definitely go back next time in town.

Long time customer of many years. Have been able to witness the various shortcomings and trade offs they’ve choose to make at customers dispense.
One infuriating thing that has been happening all year is their pullback on reasonable dressing portions on their food – in this particular instance bowls. Tell me why I HAVE to order a side of dressing ($2+) in order for the bowl to be DRESSED with ANY dressing. There are two things that tell me they do this on purpose
1- only if i order a side dressing will they also ADD dressing to bowl, so now the side dressing is redundant because its overwhelming.
2- if i dont order a side dressing the bowls are BONE DRY.
because this is just a fact at this point I order a side dressing for a different item so they dont think to add dressing to the bone dry bowl.
This is the last time I order from here. Again, years long customer that’s finally just done with this place.

My wife and I stopped there to share a delicious acai bowl. It was quiet while we were there (about 9:30 am on a Saturday morning), and we enjoyed sitting out on the patio with our dogs. There was a slight view of the ocean, but quite a bit of construction going on. The service was very good.
