This place was a very cool mix of old school and modern. With dark wood and classic colors on the inside. The service was great and the staff was all good looking. The food was wonderful! Such great quality and you can tell there was a lot of work put into the presentation. This was my first time here, but I truly enjoyed my visit. Only issue I had, was the size of the booth. It was a little tight for a guy like me who enjoys his food. Lol

There has been a steakhouse in this location since the 1950s however this Moe’s version has been open since 2022. It’s a classic old school steakhouse but to me it feels more like a bar that serves food vs a steakhouse. Our server was very polite and was probably the highlight of the meal to be honest. The food itself was just OK but I really did like the ambience and it was definitely a lively and very loud place to have dinner. Parking is very difficult in this part of town, we were lucky to find a street spot a few blocks away, however, you may have to walk some blocks so be prepared for that. Inside is pretty small and darkly lit and the first thing you’ll notice when you enter is the giant bar. There are tables next to that and in the back. We sat near the bar so it was extremely loud during our meal. We could hardly hear each other at the table, although it was nice to hear everyone having a good time.

I started off with a French Onion Soup, which was actually very nice. It was a bit too salty but the broiled cheese on top made up for it, and I would say it was my favorite dish of the night. After that, I followed up with the Filet Mignon and thought it was just OK. It was a bit dry and lacked any sort of seasoning and just didn’t have a lot of flavor. It was not bad but far from what some of the other steakhouses in San Diego would serve.

Overall Moe’s would be a nice option for a date if you live close by, but I would not suggest to people driving far or to those visiting San Diego. There are better options around town.

The menu and drink experience looked really fantastic at this place so we were eager to eat here. Our wait service did not disappoint, he was amazing. The food looked incredible but fell short unfortunately. My sauce was runny, the spaghetti was bland…the steak was somewhat chewy with very light seasoning…not what was expected for a $95 plate. Kids mac n cheese was yummy. Desert and apps were liked. We tried several of the specialty cocktails which did not disappoint. The bar atmosphere was awesome, especially for a date night. We wouldn’t eat again but the service and appearance of everything was terrific.

the $50 boneless Prime ribeye it was fantastic I don’t know how their hundred-dollar one which could be better. Brussel sprouts were the best I’ve ever had with saffron all over them. The butter cake was highly recommended not something I would normally order just by the name but I’m glad I did best dessert on the menu. Have the double chocolate cake the second time I was there the cake was dry need a new recipe I think. Definitely need to add something with raspberry next to it.

Been coming to mission Beach for a few years now, I found Moe’s on my most recent trip and we ended up there two nights in a row. It has an amazing bar area then a room where guests can eat behind it. The decor is great, it’s meets the beach vibe of the town, but also is upscale enough to match a classy feeling of being in a nice restaurant.

Service was great both nights. I loved their shrimp cocktail, we ordered that both nights. The wedge salad (not pictured) was delicious as well. We opted for the American wagyu and the filet for dinner. Both were flavored well, we paired it with the butter and steak sauce. I liked the filet better than the waygu if I’m being honest.

All in all, great service, great ambiance, and well worth visiting if you are in Mission Beach and want a nice dinner!

Stepping into this restaurant is like stepping back to a time where the guests were treated with care and respect, something you don’t find in many restaurants nowadays.
We Sat at the bar it was an awesome, the bar tenders are professional as well as attentive, patrons were friendly and everyone seemed to be having a great time.
We ordered salads and meatballs off the social hour menu as well as a charcuterie board and the butter cake off the regular menu, everything was fantastic.
Drinks, I ordered a Sazerac and my wife ordered a paper plane, both of them, exactly what we were looking for.
Loved the experience!, will be back.

Delicious food, fantastic drinks, and amazing service. Steak, short rib, French onion soup, salad…. were all great! Service by Scott and Gayza was top notch. They made Moe’s memorable; remembered our drink orders, etc. Came here for the first time to try it and returned three more nights in a row. Need I say more?!

Standard steakhouse dim/dingy ambiance. Feast your eyes on the images of Moe’s New York ($58) steak, shown with the generous ¼” kingsford briquette fusion crust, necessitating the ($3extra) 1oz of creamed horseradish.
Parking will cost $60 almost anytime it’s needed, which may foul your evening afterwards.

one of my friends recommended this place, and I’m not sure why it took me so long to actually visit. about 1 mi from where I live, my boyfriend and I decided to finally check out most. we sat at the bar and ordered a few drinks and food. my go-to Moscow drink, is there passion for agave. highly recommend if you like fruity and Smokey tequila cocktail. my boyfriend and I have gone here numerous times since our first visit, and have loved every experience. we’ve tried a variety of their foods, from their lunch salad, to either crab cakes, to their calamari, to their chicken, to their pastas, to their amazing dessert wines and butter cake. we have had nothing short of an amazing experience, the service is so attentive, the bartenders are so knowledgeable and conversational. shout out to Robert, one of her favorite bartenders. The ambiance from the outside is not telling at all what is inside the restaurant. from the outside looks like a total drive-by place that you wouldn’t even acknowledge. but this is truly a hidden gem, dark and chic, Speak Easy/ classic retro bar Vibe on the inside. I let my pictures speak for themselves. this place also has a great happy hour, which they call social hour, from 4-6p during the week.
