It felt like there was a little extra attention put into every dish. The chef knows exactly what flavors to pair together for an outstanding meal.
The cocktail selection was amazing and I loved both the drinks I tried.
Most importantly, the food and service we received was really good. The meat is sous vide and was very tender (wellington and steak). I wish our food was warmer/hot on delivery. Plates cooled quickly. The sides were flavorful, combo mash potato/mash sweet potato and carrots. Portions were huge and fairly priced. Cocktails were exceptional.
Our server Stan was great conversation and helped us through the changes in the menu. Kids menus were great.
We would return.
We went here when they first opened because their social media had pictures of amazing food, including their chicken and waffles. When we went the first time over a year ago, the food we ordered matched their promotional marketing images (which they still use on their social media as of today).
We went yesterday (only another 4 top on a Saturday at 12:30pm) and ordered the same thing, with images of the chicken and waffles I remember playing on the televisions in the restaurant. This dish is $18 mind you, and what I got after 40 minutes of waiting, was a waffle and 2 store-bought chicken tenders like you would get from Denny’s or Elmer’s or any other low-quality, cheap dining experience.
My wife ordered the biscuits and gravy, which was gravy with sausage in it and 2 pieces of store-bought garlic bread. No biscuits anywhere.
I am really not sure what happened, but the quality has significantly decreased from what it once was and at that price, it’s unacceptable.
I recommend the Caesar Salad w/Shrimp or Chicken, Shrimp Capellini, and the Chicken & Waffles for brunch. And for treats I recommend any of their cookies or a Caramel Latte. I’ve never had a bad experience. Perfect restaurant to take family or friends that are visiting from out of town.
Service was extremely slow (we were the only ones there) but the food was very good and reasonably priced. I got an omelet and my wife got the GF deep fried little smokies.
Follow up:
WOW, what a change.
This place has really gone downhill hard.
Again, we were the only ones there and the time from order to being served was 27 minutes and the server didn’t even apologize for the wait.
Food tasted old and was definitely canned.
The frying oil that they used tasted rancid.
My wife has a gluten sensitivity so we made sure that what she ordered was gluten free.
Almost immediately she got a stomach ache. The food may have been gluten free but the day old (at least a day old and maybe more) oil that they fried in had enough gluten to make her sick.
The last time that we will ever eat there.
