I stopped in while taking a drive across southern VA last weekend. The pizza was tasty & the service was good. I enjoy eating at these small town pizza restaurants like this one. I’d definitely stop here for lunch or dinner again should I return to Keysville.

We stopped at this place via a Google maps search for pizza as we traveled by on the highway. We tried the spaghetti and calzone. Both tasted great. It’s not fancy, but the guy at the counter was super nice and the prices were great. It’s on our list of places to stop if we ever come back through the area!

The food here is fine for the price, but staffing numbers never seen adequate for the load. Some staff can also be rude.
UPDATE: This place has been going steadily downhill. This last mistake of a purchase resulted in a calzone that was simultaneously greasy and dry, purchases made not appearing in the pickup, and a “tuna salad sandwich” that was just canned tuna and lettuce heads on an oversaturated roll.

They wanted to charge me for 4 toppings because I asked for half two toppings and half two toppings in the other. Nothing I said could get them to comprehend that I was not getting 4 entire portions but 4 halves, which equals 2.
I’m also always faced with someone with an attitude, and made to feel like I’m bothering them by ordering food when i felt I was very courteous.
Not the cleanest of places either.

This is a pretty good small-town restaurant. Service was friendly and engaging, despite obvious business in the dining room. There is a good variety of meal options, from snack and light lunches to pasta or steak and potato dinners. We tried a calzone, spaghetti, salad, and jamboli dinner special. The crust for the calzone was flavorful and properly baked with generous filling. The salad (Pino’s Special) was plentiful and had lots of meat (chicken, beef, & bacon). We did enjoy the pasta/marinara sauce and thought all portions were more than sufficient.

3stars meaning middle of the road.
Phone order for pick up.
Ready on time, $8, make it valuable road trip food.
10in pizza, mushrooms, blk olives. Good taste overall. Hot. Plentiful toppings. Sturdy crust, lightly browned.
I’m curious about the “fresh” canned mushrooms, and “fresh” dough… which was of uniform density and rise from edge, to center, to other edge. Nothing super interesting about the dough.
So. okay pizza, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it.

I got a personal cheese pizza for takeout and it was really good. The crust was a mixture of crunchy and soft and the mozzarella cheese was perfectly cooked. Definitely recommend! A great place to stop in Keysville for your lunch break and the pizza is cooked in around 10 minutes.

I rarely enjoy eating here. Most of the time, I use the take out option. The food is always good and on time for pick up. They even offer a LEO discount!
