Nice restaurant that is clean with great decorations. I really like the murals and pictures. The food was good and during lunch it was really fast! The staff was nice and there was plenty of people there at 1:30 so it must be popular. The Taco Loco and Chari Pollo was really good! They even had a pay phone but it’s nonfunctional.

The service here is always friendly. Nice folks. My family swears that they have the best tasting rice and beans. I’ve had everything from the seafood to the tortas, the burritos (huge) and more authentic dishes and they’re almost always really good. We’ve been here dozens of times, every time we go back to Tama. We were excited to hear that they have a place in Cedar Rapids now too.

Wow! El Patron Especial really does come out looking like the picture in the menu. Definitely had a good spice kick to it and would recommend sharing with at least two people. Their horchata was also very good.
