What is going on with the young women working there? ♀️ Are these girls simply not caring or have they never even look at the menu. Ordered a Pesto Goat cheese and the ONLY REASON I got it is because those ingredients go well on their FOCACCIA bread but of course, when I open the sandwich, they had done it on a baguette. This happened feb 14th between 4pm and 5pm and I say this hoping the owner gets who it was and take this as a learning opportunity. I don’t care if the sandwich would have cost $1. What bothers me the most is driving back home with the order, opening it up to be this disappointed.

I’m sure the young employees in here were working very hard and most likely told by the manger or owner to use the oldest bread for sandwiches first before they use the new stuff. However, I’m throughly upset with the large order I placed from Spoons. When I went to CSU and worked there, the spoons by campus on Elizabeth was DIVINE. I guess I just assumed this location would be just as good, but not this time. This was the second time I’ve been here, and it was horrible compared to the first. I ordered ahead online and got a quart of a specific chili that they were actually out of. It wasn’t until today that I looked at my call log and realized that the store actually did try to call me and let me know, but it was 10 mins before my selected pick up time and I was driving and didn’t see it. I bet one could imagine my frustration when I get into the store and am told there is no tailgate chili. At that point, I wasn’t aware they tried to call me. Now that I’m aware, I’m a little less upset about the food overall but not totally. The bread they gave us with the soup should have been used for the sandwiches, and the bread used for the sandwiches should have been given to go with the soup. Yeah we like a toasted sandwich, but who wants their bread hard and inedible? Hardly any chipotle mayo on either chipotle chicken sandwich, hardly any thousand island on the Reuben, and then the substitute soup I had to choose which was Mom’s chicken vegetable was way more soupy and not loaded up like it used to be all of the time. Can you guys get back to quality control? At least at this location? This place used to be so good and I understand that you probably want to stretch supplies and save money by creating meals that aren’t as enjoyable for customers, but this is seriously upsetting. Sandwiches hard and dry, hardly any spread on them. Soup hardly had any veggies in it. I would like some kind of refund at least. Sorry, I really don’t mean to be mean or hurt anyone’s business. I wish I could say wholeheartedly that I feel upset about leaving this review and would have rather talked to the manager, but when I’m driving from Johnstown to get this and it’s just not good, it’s upsetting Can I please have a refund? Also, like two TINY pieces of sauerkraut on the Reuben. Update. I guess I’m gonna call the store and try and speak with the manager since nobody has responded to this post. Update: why has nobody from the store reached out to me to rectify this? Does this mean if I’m truly upset I have to CALL THE STORE and do their own due diligence for them? This is bullshit

Sandwiches are good, soup can be hit or miss if they are using their best ingredients versus their not so fresh ones. Beware that if you get a salad the dressing they give you is abysmal.

Recommended by trusted colleague. Met there with coworkers and good experience. No real seating for big parties, we did make it work! Had grilled cheese and loaded baked potato soup. Both were delicious and will be back to try buffalo chicken sandwich. Someone in our group had one and it looked amazing, and they raved about it!

After being a Spoons fan for almost 20 years I am really sad to leave this review. This location was absolutely off-putting today. My husband and I visited on our lunch break and we are first disappointed by the service. The young lady at the counter put in no effort and was not friendly. We asked for a simple grilled cheese with ham and received a ham and Swiss with mustard. I asked if we could try a soup and they no longer offer samples. The broccoli cheddar was separated and seemed watered down. The potato soup had very little flavor. The entire restaurant was incredibly dirty. The soda fountain was splattered with soda, the ice tea didn’t have a lid on it and there were flies everywhere. The one table in the restaurant was dirty and both counters and all stools were dirty. The trash was completely full and there were at least 20 dirty trays piled on top. It was just not a good experience and made me loose all my appetite. I maybe took 5 bites of soup and half of my bread which I usually order extra of because it is my favorite. Today it was half the size as usual and very flat. I have been going to multiple spoons locations in Fort Collins since I was in High School but don’t think I will be returning after today.

Got takeout from spoons tonight my wife had broccoli cheddar. I had Italian sausage and mushroom. The restaurant was over 90° and felt like a rainforest. The service was mediocre at best, The young lady forgot the order immediately after we told her. My wife’s broccoli cheddar was watered down with nothing but stems there was no taste or appearance of cheese. My Italian sausage and mushroom was bland. Very little sausage and canned mushrooms. Additionally, they were out of bread and bags. I guess that’s what you get for 2 cups of soup for $20 It’s unfortunate spoons used to be a great quick delicious meal. We will not be returning.

Apparently they just put away their soup completely before they’re officially closed for the night and aren’t willing to sell you any? I showed up 10 min before they closed and they told me the soup had been put up for the night. I’ve worked in food service and yeah it sucks when someone comes in before you close but you shouldn’t be closing everything down until closing time. Disappointed with the service for sure.

I visited here recently and was honestly pretty upset. I have a service dog (fully trained & very very well behaved). Upon ordering and paying we were approached by a male that worked there telling me my dog was not allowed there. I told him she was a service animal and they cannot deny access. He went to talk to another lady and came back only to tell me it’s fine I can eat there but needed to go outside with her and stay back. I tried to inform him of the ADA laws regarding service animals, but he wasn’t open to that whatsoever. Following this, he went over to the lady again and then didn’t come back to us. While we waited I proceeded to hear someone say, it’s fine at least they got a to go order. The other woman who took our order and gave us our food was very nice and even apologized. I asked if I could speak to either of the people that were opposed to my service dog being there. The lady whom the male had been communicating with came over to me. I pulled up ADA laws on the government website to show and try to explain to her they couldn’t do that to people. She did apologize but did say they just didn’t like dogs there because they try to keep it peaceful and they have had people trip over them. My dog, as well as other legit service dogs, are controlled and well mannered. I am writing this review purely to urge management to educate themselves and their employees on laws regarding service dogs. It is illegal for them to deny access and they didn’t seem to understand the implications of this or just the law at all in general. Hopefully this doesn’t happen to anybody else.

Don’t order the salmon! I ordered a grilled cheese and added lemon salmon and I have had food poisoning for 3 days so far. Extremely upset and disappointed by this. I expect better from restaurants, I expect higher quality than what I would make at home and higher standards of health.
