Hats off to new owner Tito! We can’t say enough good things about Maru Ichi! From the moment we walked in, Hazel was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and elegant — ideal for both a casual lunch or a special night out.
Every dish we tried was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The sushi rolls were expertly made — you can really taste the quality of the fish. We especially loved the Albacore Special Roll, which was perfectly balanced and melt-in-your-mouth good.
It’s clear Chef Jason and his Itamaes take pride in their craft — attention to detail, creativity, and consistency in every bite. Prices are fair for the quality you get, and the service was top-notch from start to finish.
Maru Ichi has easily become my go-to sushi spot in H’Ville. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates authentic, high-quality Japanese cuisine!

We were a large party that stopped in and sat right away. The rainbow roll was fantastic, great pieces of fish on top. The fried rice definitely stole the show. Huge portions with great flavor. Miso soup and bibimbap honorable mentions! Family that lives in Hendersonville says this is a great place for quick sushi.

Excellent sushi at a great price. Service was slow, but it was pretty busy. So I’ll give a pass for that. Menu was a bit overwhelming, we were given 3 different menus when we were seated. Literally took like 15 minutes just to look it all over. Overall a good experience and meal.

We are sushi lovers. Family of 5. We came for the first time yesterday. Party of 8. We walked in and we stood there for a good while. Took forever for anyone to even acknowledge that we were there. Once we were seated, it took an hour just to get our food. The sushi was wonderful but the prices were absolutely ridiculously high compared to other places we often go to. The sushi was no different than the other places. As much as we would like to come back, we most likely will not. There’s much more affordable places to go to that serves the exact same dishes.

The service is always super amazing and sweet. They really go out of their way to make our meals feel special. The staff was very attentive and quick with everything.
The food is always A+. At other sushi places the fish sometimes has no flavor, but at Maru the fish is always super flavorful and fresh. Also the presentation is always beautiful so it’s good for any foodies. The pink lady, tuna lovers special, and dragon rolls are my personal favorite.

The salmon skin roll was the best of the 3 we got, the other two being the eel roll and crunchy shrimp, which was a bit dry. The bulgogi and gyoza were also pretty tasty.
