Ordered pumpkin spice latte & ham/cheese croissant. Well the latte was ok but the croissant was not what I paid for…it was just plain (no cheese or ham). It tasted just fine so I ate it plus I didn’t feel like driving back to get the right item.

This cozy and vibrant coffee shop, Fairgrounds Coffee & Tea, offers more than just your typical caffeine fix—it’s an experience. With its playful decor, including a large illuminated “F” on the wall, eclectic furnishings, and warm lighting, it creates a welcoming and creative vibe perfect for work or catching up with friends. The black coffee cup branded with their logo suggests a commitment to craft beverages, and the seating arrangement, from comfy leather chairs to communal tables, caters to every mood. Whether you’re here to work or unwind, this spot invites you to sip slowly and stay awhile.

I had such a wonderful experience at Fairgrounds in Oak Park! This is actually my second morning in a row coming here—not just because the food is consistently fresh and delicious, but because the staff truly make the experience exceptional.

From the moment I walked in, the barista/cashier and the food runner were warm, friendly, and uplifting. Their positive energy, smiles, and genuine customer care set the perfect tone for my morning. On top of that, the barista’s skills were on point, and the service was fast, attentive, and welcoming.

The ambience is perfect for a relaxed morning, and the whole vibe feels both chill and inviting. It’s rare these days to find a spot where the food, drinks, and atmosphere are matched by such incredible customer service.

I truly hope the front-line staff I interacted with today get the recognition they deserve—they made my visit memorable and will definitely keep me coming back. Highly recommend Fairgrounds Oak Park for anyone looking for great food, coffee, and even better people!

This place isn’t for catching up with loud friends and laughter, the vibe is everyone silent working with their computers a few were talking but mostly working. Coffee was strong and a little sour to my liking. Glad I tried and can finally remove this place from my list.

Great place to meet for coffee or breakfast, one of the few places in Oak Park that are suitable for a business conversation. So many cafes are too small, too loud, or too inconvenient to get to/park. It’s spacious and has lots of room between tables for privacy. Drink choices are creative. I had the turmeric latte and egg breakfast bowl and it was delicious, very filling and freshly made. It’s not a super fast place though, so don’t go if you’re in a hurry.

I’ve been here before and it was a decent place for a decent coffee but this morning I got here early to study and by 7:15 about 10 to 15 girls came in, with their Starbucks and took over the place. They had no regard for anyone else in the place. They were filming tick tock videos and changed the whole vibe of the place. This doesn’t seem like a good business model, being the playground for patrons of a rival coffee shop, but who am I to judge. Oh, a paying customer, so I will judge and will find a different place to go in the future.

This used to be our go-to breakfast spot, but it’s unfortunately not what it was two years ago. Paid $9.50 for this breakfast bowl (I only moved the egg to show what was under it), which had incredibly burnt bacon, and this was after waiting 30 minutes for one sandwich and one breakfast bowl (didn’t get drinks).

Good coffee, not strong (lattes very milky). Matcha was a bit better. We Tried the avocado toast. Overall relatively spacious seating area- Crowded on a weekday. Slightly on the pricey side.

Overall great spot to meet a friend or do some light work

The café offers a charming ambiance, but unfortunately the quality of both the coffee and food items leaves much to be desired. The coffee itself was lackluster for the price point, lacking richness and balance. I had considered ordering a croissant, but there were visible fruit flies on the food items in the display case, which raised immediate concerns about sanitation. While the space is aesthetically pleasing, the fundamentals of a coffee shop (quality beverages and properly maintained food) are not being met. For better value, consistency, and cleanliness, nearby alternatives provide a far superior experience. Until significant improvements are made, I would not recommend this café.

got a matcha and a chai latte with a friend and we split the chicken melt to try, probably waited 20 mins on a Sunday evening. Come here if there isn’t any other spots to go to or if you truly need a study spot that badly, nothing special but not surprising for oak park the chai latte was the only thing worth getting
