I was curious about this place and visited for the first time. It’s more causal than I thought. I thought this might be more a sit down Mexican restaurant but it gives me more Chipotle vibes. Except they do bring you your food. The food and service was good. I just wasn’t blown away by the food. Lots of tortillas chips with the food. The self serve sauce options were fun. There’s nothing wrong with this place but it’s just not my favorite. I may choose other options when I’m in the mood for Tex Mex based on price and overall value.

First time trying this place, and while the flavors were on point, the value just isn’t there. $42 got me 6 tacos, a tiny spoonful of rice and beans, and a small pile of tortilla chips – no salsa included! I wouldn’t mind the price so much if the tacos were packed, but as you can see in my picture, they’re pretty skimpy. Sadly, I won’t be back to this location, which is a bummer because the food itself was delicious.

Had the absolute best time coming to this location I’ve been to a few other branches but this one takes the cake enough for me to leave a review. I believe it was Jackson who took my order was awesome helped me figure out what I wanted. He had me get the blackened chicken when I always get ground beef I can truly say Jackson had changed my life and order forever it was so tender and perfectly seasoned. Thank you to this tijauna flats location for restoring my faith in Tex mex and thank you to Jackson for giving my mouth a roller coaster of flavor town!!

This was almost going to be a bad review but I was so impressed with the service that I just have to leave 5 stars. The manager on duty at 7:00 pm and the brunette girl working the counter were so kind, patient, and helpful. I appreciate this level of service very much, it makes the experience!!
Side note to management:
The online order system is very flawed. Whenever I attempt to place a “for now” order to be ready in 15 minutes, it will not print the ticket at the restaurant for atleast 30 minutes. This has been very annoying whenever I am in a rush and expecting the food to be ready upon arrival/very soon on arrival. This experience would have been much worse with bad service but the employees that were working on feb 3 at 7pm made the situation much better.

It was delicious! I ordered a spicy chicken burrito thingy and it was goooood. I live all of the different hot sauces you can taste and buy if you like!

As a T-flats lover I was a bit disappointed with this location. Placed an online order and picked up in store. I was notified of one of the sauces being out and was told that the only way to get the sauce was to purchase a bottle…so rather than maybe writing one off and using it to fulfill orders…the idea was to have me spend $6+ for 1 meals worth of sauce. Maybe not the best idea but no biggie. Food comes out shortly after and they forgot to provide drinks. Who I assumed could only be the manager sat like a bump on a log at the counter doing some sort of paperwork and didn’t seem that he could be bothered. Once back at the hotel getting ready to eat, imagine my surprise when I opened the box to see a scant amount of chips and a chimichanga that was almost all tortilla with very little meat. Considering I only asked for meat and cheese, it was very obvious when I took a bite only to be met with tough layers of tortilla that accounted for ~50% of the wrap. Overall, really disappointed by this location and won’t likely be back.

Food is good, but the service steals the show. The young African American gentleman (I feel guilty not remembering his name) provided superb service today. With my clumsy self, I dropped my drink as I left the restaurant. I couldn’t ask for a new drink due to my own negligence. He chased me down as I walked further down the street to offer me a new drink. I will visit more frequently beyond their awesome Throwback Thurzdaze. LONG LIVE TIJUANA FLATS!

Tijuana on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday is a great deal. The food quality is pretty good and the price point on the deal is hard to beat! Edit: Went in a day later and spoke to the very polite manager (who incidentally I went to high school with his manager) who resolved the issue – he first offered to remake my order himself but I was on a time crunch (on lunch break) so then he went through the steps for me to receive my refund. Changing overall review to 4 stars and service from original 2 starts to 4.
I don’t know if it was an off night, though it’s Taco Tuesday, so it should be good service, but my tortilla chips were bland with no seasoning, my burrito can only be described as “wimpy” with a very a loose flappy tortilla and lackluster ingredients. Barely any beans, the chicken tasted like it was frozen and reheated, and though I asked for pico, I still haven’t found any pico.
Service was acceptable and folks were very polite, but I saw another woman walk back up with her takeout bag and have to have her order fixed, and my food took 15 minutes after I ordered. There was one server/team member who was just standing around looking confused the whole time.
Not a complaint, just a note for noise-sensitive folks: It’s VERY loud in here, due to the concrete floor reverberating.
