I placed an order over the phone, but unfortunately, it was completely messed up due to a language barrier. When I arrived to pick up my food, it wasn’t correct, and they attempted to overcharge me. After speaking with someone who spoke English, they managed to correct the order, but there was no effort made to adjust the price for the inconvenience. In the end, I decided not to take the food. The customer service was disappointing, and I can’t help but worry that the incorrect order was served to someone else. I would not recommend this place.

This is my to-go to restaurant. Their chicharon is always tasty. The owner is friendly, the servers are great and inviting. The price is definitely affordable.

It’s pretty good. I haven’t gone through the entire menu yet. But I’ve only been going there about 20 years. I like it, it’s not for everyone. The price of eating out has definitely gone up on a steeper curve since Covid. But it’s the same everywhere. Definitely try the Arroz con Pollo (I could eat this everyday)and the Chuleta Apanada!

Usually a fan of this place. I’ve eaten and ordered many times from here and USUALLY have a good experience. My most recent experience wasn’t so good though. My lady asked me to pick up her chicken as I have done so many times before. Usually, I just give either my or her name and I get my food.

This time I happened to forget my phone and despite me being a REGULAR CUSTOMER, they refused to give me the food without showing the app. I had all of the information so I don’t know what they thought. That I hacked their computers and picked my lady’s name out of the database??? Are chicken robberies that common???

Anyway, by the time I went to get my food and came back. I had to take cold food and of course that food doesn’t taste as good cold as it does warm. Even reheated. Especially the yucca fries. So I have to score based on the experience even though usually the food is good.

First time eating at this place. We were pleasantly surprised with the taste and freshness. Our waitress Vanessa was friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. On the flip side, the food is a bit pricey but I would highly recommend.

Excellent customer service. Vanessa my waitress she went above and beyond to make me comfortable and welcome. The food was excellent. The chicken was amazing. Will definitely come back and highly recommend this place to my friends and family members.

I went a few days ago and the waitress was really rude. Instead of feeling welcomed, she started rushing me and my partner to leave. We didn’t ask for the bill just in case we wanted to order more while we were eating. She brought us the bill and said to leave 15% of tips, like it was mandatory with the type of service she was giving us. They overcharge you for everything, even if it’s a small container of hot sauce. They used to give you a small container for every chicken you ordered and now they charge you for it. The food is good, is just the treatment and overcharging of things that ruined the experience.

Came to this place with my family for lunch and left very upset and disappointed. I had the same exact problem than the person who reviewed before. We were not told that 18% gratuity was included in the bill and was hit with $36.00 dollars over our regular Bill. If the service was great, I wouldn’t mind it, but the service was not worth it. I always tip, but the tip varies depending on the quality of the service. The lady waiter was in a hurry. She was the only one there in charge of the tables and the pick up, and even when there were not a lot of people dining, you could notice she got overwhelmed. The rice with shrimps was a good amount but it was dry and with no flavor. The chicken quarter was tiny to the point that we had to order another one for a little kid. The prices are very high for the type of restaurant and the quality of the food. I’m all about supporting small businesses, especially Latinos, since I believe we should have each other’s back, but we know better than to offer this type of poor service and impose a gratuity without letting us know in advance; so we could decide if we wanna pay it or not. I am not gonna be a returning customer.

if you’re reading this pay close attention

Charcoal chicken has a been a staple for many years in this community

I remember being little with my family and coming eating here every Sunday the attention was great. The prices were excellent and the food always fresh.

however, in recent times it’s been a big letdown.

Not only do you need hundreds of dollars to eat here

But they don’t even give you a smile when you walk in most of the time

The ladies always working on the front nine out of 10 times are on their phone

The food is a hit or miss sometimes it’s fresh sometimes is not good luck just flip a coin you’re better off

when the food is fresh, it is amazing. I cannot deny that.

The shakes used to be my favorite and now they cost half of what the chicken cost. It’s ridiculous.

anyways, I wish them the best . and you’re welcome for saving you the time and money dear reader

before charcoal chicken was about the community and offering something great now it has sold for different owners and you can tell they’re in it just to make money the love isn’t there the heart isn’t there simple as that

sincerely,
