This place is incredible! The food is high quality and they make it so quickly. The sushi is always fresh and the soups are delectable. Admittedly, one time the soup was a bit too spicy, but I’ll know better next time to not get the spiciest option. I highly recommend trying this cuisine.

I haven’t quite been to a place like Tiger Daddy before! Their style of fast casual hot pot soups is pretty unique, and I enjoyed customizing my own bowl with beef and spam. They had a ton of seafood options to pick from as well, and broths for every spice level. Their sushi and tuna tartare were very fresh too! Having the screens to order from is a nice touch to make sure you can order exactly what you like.

Tiger Daddy was an absolute delight! The food was truly exceptional – every bite was bursting with flavor. I was particularly impressed by the perfect balance of tastes and textures in each dish. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Somebody please correct their address. They are located on Whitney Ave next to BBQ chicken and Subway sandwich but Google Map led me to a completely different place. Food was okay. Surprisingly I was full after eating their small soup bowl. Dragon roll was okay. In general, the food was okay and a little pricy for what you get but you don’t pay tips so that kinda makes the whole quality reasonable.

Food quality, especially the dumplings which are handmade, is excellent but this is more a take out place really. Atmosphere and service is just ok and no large spoons to eat soup dumplings, no soap in the bathroom. Prices are average.

It’s an okay place. Definitely not gonna come back for what I got today but apparently the ramen was okay. I got the sashimi combo and it wasn’t good. The salmon was good but the rest was eh. It had this scent when I ate it and it just wasn’t pleasant. The ramen was average. It was pretty bland but the meat was good. Decent but there are better places. As for the service, it was pretty good. They brought the food over to my table but when I was ordering, the menu had previous marks on it that I hadn’t noticed before and ordered stuff I didn’t want. I had to go back and cancel them since I was definitely not finishing it. Thankfully, they were really nice about it which helps a lot.

Even with vanishingly low expectations, I was still floored by how little effort this joint puts into the overpriced food. Takenoko is undercooked; noodles are overcooked, and there are way, way too much of them. Broth is as flavorless as flavorless can be. But what do I care, it simply doesn’t merit a detailed review.

This is an excellent new place in New Haven and one I highly recommend. I’m not kidding, it might be some of the best, most authentic Chinese food in the city. Do the build your own bowl, try the pork broth, throw in a meat and some veggies and you’ve got an awesome meal for a reasonable price.
If you’re craving good, authentic, real Chinese food give this place a try – you will not be disappointed!

It was okay the malatang. The portion is a little small. Tastes more like a regular hotpot than malatang
